I'm not sure where the "Patreon is being fucked with" accusation came from, but it makes sense if you consider fully what @Ped Xing is saying when it relates to the fanbase. If it really were (and I believe it myself) a case of a switch in fanbases, it could be that he lost donors from the fanbase that probably had more disposable income per person to one that simply had as much money in the aggregate. If you look at graphtreon, it kind of checks out:

See how the yellow line is on a steady incline, yet the green one isn't? It's number of patrons vs cash inflow. It somewhat supports the theory that with his audience slowly filtering around like a game of musical chairs in a nursing home, the amount of cash stayed the same while he lost more wealthy patrons and gained more, but less profitable patrons.

I actually do appreciate true critique of my theory on the Patreon being inflated.
I want to emphasize it is a THEORY and that I have hit brick walls again and again trying to dig into this.

Here is my issue with Grapheon

It shows Maddox as actually earning the $5k we know for a fact he did not cash out or recieve and was a scam him and little platinum books worked out. It seems like Grapheon just shows patreons and compares it to the listed earning numbers.
My issue is I think the green line is inflated and not reflective of what is actually being cashed out for one reason or another.

That isn't to say you or @Ped Xing are incorrect. I very well may be wrong and I can't find smoking gun hard evidence to back up the theory, but I have lots of tangential proof with the decline in rank which means decline in down loads, and the decline in social media engagement.
My theory is unproven, but I believe it to have a solid foundation. I'd recommend checking a few pages back and reading about Dax admitting the podcast isn't growing, the lack of media engagement, decline in quality, lack of incentive to give more than $5, etc.
@Ped Xing is also pretty solid on his theory, my only disagreement is I think his rate of picking up new sycophants is not as fast as the rate he is losing old fans.

I can't figure out the how when it comes to Dax Herrera Patreon, hence why I say I can be wrong on is. My guess is given my experience with an expired card not getting charged but still showing as an active pledge despite months of non payment, its something of a mix of legit old fans who just let their stuff lapse and never updated cause they don't care and they aren't getting charged and prepaid cards loaded on fake accounts that donate and then lapse, as well as creators donating equal amounts to each other.

Even if inflated I do wanna emphasize Dax is still making a decent chunk of change. My guestiment by what I'm seeing via social media engagement and podcast rank is around half of the die hards stuck around. Dax has done strange things recently like hiding seeing who is donating what and hiding how many people are donating specific amounts. Accoriding to Dax, he had a convo with "banking people" (there is no clarity who these people are) about $20 donations being suspicious of laundering.
But that is for people who get paid to figure out if that is true and no one knows. It's too serious for me to entertain without more proof.

As far as I know Dax is the VP of some Marketing company he helped cofound and works mostly from home. But who knows.
I did always think it was weird he talked about buying insurance from the Obamacare marketplace. I figured his HR person would have some sort of plan that he could tack on to.
