The thing with Trump isn't Trump or his politics. The problem is social media and the culture that's developed because of it. It's made everyone stupid, LOUD and lacking in critical thought. If we had social media back in Howard days, it would have been as bad as TDS.

Particularly it's the censorship that's really fucked with people's heads. You rarely come across people you disagree with on a fundamental level unless you actively seek it, which can usually end up with you getting banned if you aren't towing the party line. Even twitter recognized this as a problem, but then they came up with the deranged solution (think Jack even mentioned this on Joe Rogan) of having people follow 'Topics' which will pretty obviously be kept as sanitized as possible to make sure people only come across the right opinions.

Essentially we have social media companies that decided they should change how people think and a lot of the outrage we see on social media is the result. If they weren't constantly trying to mess with people's beliefs then we'd probably see a return to people gossiping about Hollywood celebrities rather than gossiping about politics.

Imagine being so far to the left that you accidentally turn your Iwo Jima parody into less Norman Rockwell and more Socialist Realism. Also it seems this Michael D'Antuono guy has been painting a constant stream of batshit crazy agitprop since the ascension of Black Jesus (and yes, he draws him exactly as such!). Might be a decent source of content or full on lolcow. His Youtube channel is pretty cringe too but obscure.
Is Joe Biden supposed to be the rock? Also that Muslim lady isn't doing shit, she's barely gripping the flagpole.

Bad optics for Trump to tweet out the video since it has a supporter saying "white power", but its clear if you watch it from the beginning that it was said as tongue in cheek and its dishonest as fuck for the press to present it as Trump promoting racist supporters.

Especially you CBS, where you fucking clip out the part where the dude is getting called a KKK member first.

I liked the part where the lady stood in front of the golf cart, pushed it, and then screamed "DON'T YOU TOUCH ME. WHERE'S THE OFFICER!?"

I would think "rednecks" and poor Blacks would have more in common than the average person or coastal elitist would think.

They both have the same work ethic, they both know the value of a dollar, they take care of their own. I wouldn't want to say "redneck", it would be the working class.

I'm reminded of the steel and railroad industry of the 20th century where Blacks and Whites worked long hours slaving just to make ends meet. Say what you want about their monetary value, but what unified them together is that they're just everyday men just getting by.
Once upon a time when SNL was funny, they pointed out exactly this idea.

Thomas Sowell may have also written on this, though I haven't read the book yet.

I think they were serious. A portion of Trump's fanbase is racist.

This is just one small example I came across recently. There's a person who follows me on Instagram, and almost every time I use the app for the last week or so IG keeps trying to get me to follow them back. I had never looked at this person's profile and actually I'm pretty sure they have never even interacted with any of my posts despite following me, but I finally decided to have a look at who this was. Almost every single post on their profile is TDS shit, even mundane stuff they find a way to relate it back to Trump somehow. Like for example:

I blocked out identifying info, but this post was just a photo of herself, which she had posted previously but tagged the wrong photographer. She posted the same photo again correcting the mistake, but even something so minor she couldn't help but somehow make it about Trump.

I just was half creeped out and half amused looking at this person's profile and I wanted to share.

How rich is it going to be when they try to deny that cancel culture ever really existed, and that it was the right projecting all along?
They already do that. (and the comments go even further)
Saturdays are good days for doing a little distance learning on how it is people living reasonably comfortable lives of white middle class ease (comfortable enough to have lots of time for gaming) manage to work themselves into frenzies of butthurt fury about purely imaginary persecution at the hands of purely imaginary persecutors. The social and psychological dynamics here matter, because they hold up a mirror to the way the most privileged demographic on the planet manage to simultaneously enjoy advantages previous ages could not have have dreamed of while still convincing themselves they are plucky underdogs and persecuted victims.

Now days of the week are racist?!
