He definitely did by saying the IF board is not for "our audience" but Lowtax isn't even IF. This thread is one of the oldest threads on the entire site. It's from June 2013, back when we were still almost entirely about CWC. Lowtax's thread is about as pure a representation of the site's purpose as one could hope. Silly man does silly thing, backfires naturally on him, laughs are had. Politics exist but are dressings to the stage instead of the content. I've not featured this drama despite people asking because I think the broader attention would ruin the thread.

Dick was also not very informed on why this situation is so funny. That Lowtax's "outrage mob" is his own audience which he fostered through neglect. That this is happening because it's the third fucking time a woman has accused him of physical abuse. That her messages are all over the place. That her later retellings meant to help Lowtax are so preposterous they seem almost designed to make people think she was forced to write them. That the Kiwi Farms warned him about this woman. That she was supposed to be his brand manager, not his live-in mommy gf.

Lowtax's presence was completely pathetic. He sounded on verge of tears. His constant regression to talking about his chronic pain was a pathetic, Boogie-esque display of defensive posturing. He reasserted multiple times that he was "found innocent" in the domestic violence situation with his first wife, when in fact the charges were simply dismissed because of the accuser not showing (which is not uncommon in domestic violence, rape, and other crimes against women because they decide they'd rather move on with their lives than deal with the legal process).


It's Dick's show and I don't expect him to be some attack dog for the forum, but what frustrates me about the interview is Dick was not informed enough to ask hard questions which could have resulted in something funny or self-implicating. It's not like the information isn't out there. He's got the script right here.
