I honestly think they're fine. Reddit's more concerned about political spergery angering the ADL then the anti-porn aspect. NoFap's a weird big-brain anti masturbation cult that has thus far proven to be impenetrable to the MDEfugees (I suspect because their anti-porn attitude is more grounded than "modern women suck"), and if noporn's good about enforcing a no-politics rule they're probably fine too.

If anyone's interested, I made a thread on moretankiechapo before it probably gets banned.

The Chapo ban suggests the real motivation for the Reddit bans - decreasing controversy for advertising revenue. The mainstream Democratic party is dominated by the professional-managerial classes, who use progressive pandering to distract people from actual socialism, which they see as a threat. Anyone too extreme, like CTH, will be banned along with the conservatives. I expect moretankiechapo to go too soon but I'll laugh at their insanity until they do.

Banning all right wing subs and one of the commie subs do not suggest it's about decreasing controversy, it suggests that they "expect one of us in the wreckage, brother".

I expect moretankiechapo to get banned quite shortly afterwards, but you may be right. We'll see if lasts more than a few weeks.

Reddit is used globally, how the fuck do they plan to apply rules based on majority? Will allowed user behavior be based on geography? Or, realistically, Are they imposing western standards globally? That seems pretty fucking bigoted, Reddit.

It's time to return to the old days of small forums and or medium sized social media sites instead of these social media giants like twitter and reddit.

How many new communities do you suppose will form? With all these groups split asunder, I'm confident that at least a few new ones will grow on alternatives like ruqqus and saidit.

A more divided and niche web sounds beautiful to me. Keep in mind that new communities are typically formed by refugees, those who are unwanted in their former spaces. This is what built 8chan and lolcow.farm, why can't it create a new home for thousands of lost redditors?

It'll at least be less cancerous than Reddit, hopefully. These giant websites are starting to crack. Tumblr was the first, the next are twitter and reddit. Facebook is irrelevant to all except a bunch of boomers (excluding instagram, which is owned by Zuckerberg), and YouTube is facing real competition for the first time in years.
