I truly sadden by this any other things at the moment. Sure I couldn't be bothered to care about reddit or the boring slow death of YouTube and a few other big name websites. Its not that however The death of the internet it's self. I'm old enough to have seen its golden age decline at lightspeed. The greatest source of information humanity has ever gathered at the tips of your fingers is mostly gone and very little will be left in a decade or less.
Well here's to a new DarkAge

He's a soyboy faggot with a gorilla wife who chimped out after losing at tennis. He will never be loved by the reddit userbase no matter how much tranny girlcock he sucks.

You're thinking of Alexis Ohanian, /u/kn0thing. He's the guy who stepped down from the board a few weeks ago and said they need to replace his board position with a black person.

How long until Reddit becomes a porn site with a few heavily moderated drumpf bad politics and wholesome memes subs?

Honestly? I think porn is gonna be the next thing to get axed given how advertiser friendly reddit has become, then it's going to go the way of tumblr.

There's been a lot of 'reddit is dying' fear-mongering on the site for years, but in the event they end up doing that, along with recent policy changes and the ever-looming threat of the revocation of sec. 230, we're actively watching reddit actually die this time.

How can reddit ever die? There's millions of people dumb enough and demoralized enough to not only see nothing wrong with the site's moderation policies, but they'll blame themselves if they ever do get banned. Where else can they go to get their latest hate-free takes on countless different niche and popular interests? How else will they be able to ask morgan freeman or the creators of rick and morty questions? Where else will they be able to discuss the lesbian dinosaurs on doctor who without anyone making "Lickalottapuss" jokes?

Well, nobody thought tumblr would go the way it did, but look at it now. I honestly can't say the last time it was relevant, and i only seen it brought up in conversations such as these.

I would have said that around Tumblr's massive ban but I imagine "sex positivity" will be getting an even more massive push soon. We are already seeing the promotion of open relationships and sex work with anyone being critical of the porn industry labeled as nazi bigots.

Do you think most posts you see on reddit are made by real people? There's an awful lot more bots than you think posting there.

It's like the inverse of those only-fans publicity accounts on twitter/instagram. One began as exclusively porn but now gives unsolicited political pandering (seriously, who goes to an e-prostitute for these issues? they sure as shit don't want to talk about income tax laws) while Reddit on the other hand began as and became popular for its openness to talk about whatever you want, but now is subsumed by pornography because that wing of the site is the only one still adhering to such a value system (even when the fetishes involved actually are universally reviled and are in certain cases illegal).

I like Null's reaction to the exodus and several other sites. Some reddit off-shoots welcome the refugees but others appreciate the damage to bandwidth and discussion letting communities move wholesale onto a different site at the snap of your fingers.
Yes, of course I'm drawing real world parallels here, why?
Because up until the terror massacres in 2016-17 became a weekly fixture, reddit's hivemind decided that migrants were a great thing. Be it crossing the Mediterranean or the Rio Grande, we have to repeat to ourselves that this is great and moral and any dissent won't be tolerated. For about a year, the entire site gaslit itself into thinking ONLY good can come from this.
Then it got to the stage that post-terrorism mourning rituals were regularly being interrupted by more atrocities, and redditors collectively agreed to just not talk about it, or at least admit terrorists are bad while still buying into the conceit that you can completely re-educate and assimilate foreign individuals by telling them what you personally think, and how it'd be just swell if they gave up their entire outlook on life til now and replace it with yours.

Again, why the tangent? Because it exposes the cognitive dissonance of so many redditors.
The admins appreciate that the only way to keep the lies popular is through censorship. For the redditors though, they have the dissonance of, on the one hand believing they can make people that can't speak english into ecstatic Nintendo Switch owning, Marvel movie watching consumers like themselves just through a couple classes on the weekend, while on the other hand abhoring their literal neighbours who regular'd /r/consumeproduct and /r/gendercritical, and genuinely thought the whole site would be tainted and the values fundamentally changed if they allowed these hostile foreign communities to grow unabated.
