This! I've tried very hard to understand what trans people go through but the truth is I have no idea.
The problem with this comic is the author doesn't know how to make people empathize with the main character, even though we might have no idea what its like to feel as though you were born in the wrong body. Once in a while she pulls it off but it often feels like it was done on accident.

You know this author has failed when she can make allies of the trans community want to give her the finger after nearly every comic page. This self entitlement shit doesn't fly nearly as well outside tumblr and other hug boxes, "lady".

This was all I needed to not google it. Still sounds less weird than this, but this is weird on a level that only tumblr and fringe sites are capable of.
Is your poison porn faces or a pretentious, weird Transkid that has to remind the world constantly of her gender identity and flip out when it isn't acknowledged or validated at all times and the character implies that the author self-medicates. Both are probably unintentionally hilarious, but the latter sounds even moreso.

Probably because it's the totally-not-a-self-insert character one-upping a man who was hired to come into class and teach eleven year olds about homosexuality. That man had to be dethroned for the audacity of neglecting to mention transsexualism while discussing homosexuality at an understandable level with children.

Did you know that the reason why blacks are dropping out of school is because they're not as manly as white people?
