This is a question coming far out of left field. What exactly makes exaggerated lips bad/racist. When you can give a white caricature giant dumbo ears or a gigantic mushroom/hawk nose and its not racist?

In countries that arent majority white that's definitely seen as racist. In the past few years a Japanese airline had to remove a commercial they had made depicting whiteface using blonde wigs and prosthetic noses.

Your misunderstanding them, they will never give you a clear line of what is wrong or right because they want to decide that and want to be able what is deemed acceptable and not on a whym. If they tell you not to give black people big ole lips and giant ears then they won't be able to cancel you a few years down the line for your racist caricature. There are no rules because they want a world where they can throw you under the bus at a moments notice.

I might be missing something, but I've never seen the stereotype of a "white nose" or "white ears" being a thing, or at least not a thing used to oppress white people in any sort of propaganda. Purely in terms of SJW artists, though, it's just because those caricatures are old. They don't understand why they exist. They just correlate old with being intentionally racist.

I've actually interacted with this dude before, and while I'm not sure if he's still this way, he was the type to get incredibly pissy if anyone ever dare bring up the concept of their being a CalArts bias in the professional art industry. I guess in retrospect it makes sense why he'd feel this way since it's become more and more obvious over the past few years that a lot of CalArts students are basically just buying their way into the industry since they're definitely not getting by on their "talent".

okay! to celebrate whatever milestone i’m at (i forgot to check), i wanted to do a dtiys. but a little different. in the spirit of what i’m all about (trying to put positivity into the world through my art), i am asking you to draw something to put some positivity into the world.
i’m asking you to draw any barbie movie, any barbie doll, any toy, any anything that you loved as a child. but i’m asking you to put a spin on it. i want you to draw it as something you today wished you had as a kid.
i desperately needed queer and fat characters. so i drew queer and chubby nutcracker prince and clara from the barbie in the nutcracker movie (which was my favorite barbie movie, kind of disappointed no one mentioned it in my other post!).
to wrap this up: you can draw literally anything you loved as a kid. it doesn’t have to be barbie. it can be a princess peach that looks like you. or a queer spin on atla. literally anything that feels a little self indulgent. i just want to see you draw something that makes you feel loved and happy. be a little selfish. do something for you just because you need it.
or! you could draw what i’ve drawn if you want! nothing wrong with a good old fashioned dtiys!!

I know I'm two days late, but seriously why the fuck is every racebent character always coloured in a such a disgusting shade of brown? Especially the rightmost character in the second picture, who looks diseased.
If they're going to make characters brown, can these people at least make them look appealing?
