To be fair, those women who advocated for prohibition also had more complicated reasons than you might think. One of their principal reasons for wanting prohibition of alcohol was to prevent and reduce domestic abuse - there was a serious problem of men going out and getting drunk every night, then coming home and beating their wives and children. They saw alcohol as a part of the problem and hoped that doing away with it would help stop women and children being beaten.

It was pretty far from "rawr me no like fun! alcohol fun so bad!" or whatever people characterize it these days.

Setting your sub to private does absolutely nothing to help you at this point because Goth Dad has already mirrored your sub through the API while it was public. The_Donald did that and they still got banned regardless. (Anyway, I had already explained this to TERFs a year ago, I really am done explaining this shit to radfems, they are clearly too stupid to understand how the internet works.) The only way to avoid being profiled by Goth Dad (who uses sockpuppet accounts to infiltrate private or quarantined subs, just like he used a sockpuppet account to follow /r/ChapoTrapHouse) is by setting up a private, invite-only subreddit from the very start, which almost no one ever does.

/r/PinkPillFeminism and /r/GenderCriticalMen have also set their subreddit to private and invite only, so I guess they too are dumb enough to think that they can avoid being banned by doing this:

The SRSphere and AHS/Goth Dad's clique are both more numerous and more prone to brigading and posting illegal content and threats of violence but they're still allowed. Purging the actual RF part of /gendercrit is a healthy thing to happen. If their goal is to decrease support for shitty trans creepiness, TE(RF)s need actual cis men on their side.
