She's most likely got pre diabetes which as I understand is reversible. however she could also have full blown type 2 only time will tell. I'm willing to bet money Amber's got it too but due to her chronic avoidance of Drs has yet to be officially diagnosed.

By the time she lets things get bad enough to require leg amputation, she's not going to have much time left. I don't have a source at hand, but I distinctly remember reading an article on the post-op lifespans of diabetics who required limb amputations, and the average was depressingly short--only a year or two. If you've let your diabetes go so poorly controlled that your leg is rotting off, you're also going to have extensive kidney damage and heart disease.

They wouldn't even bother fitting her with a prosthesis; she'd get a wheelchair.

My bad. She was actually a licensed dietician (with a university degree). I never went back.

I know of a guy who got type 2 from a death fat diet. Started on metformin asap after dx and because he is a bit of an autist once he got into the habit of gym and made a couple of major dietary changes has dropped around 200lbs and gets BSL readings in the healthy range.

They changed his medication from metformin pills to some once a week injection since then.

I expect her experience will be similar to his in the fact they will most likely put her on metformin but that's where the similarities will end. Even though they both started from death fat status (he was 425lbs) his autistic traits probably saved his life, chantal is way too weak willed for this to be her rock bottom wake up call that changes it all around just in time for the DR.

They may refer her to a weight loss doctor again, but weight loss surgery isn't a path she should go down, her stomach would rupture from over eating the first time she went and got herself some food.

I am going to self-fellate here for calling this one yesterday.

However, I don't want this to be true. Her revolting mukbangs have become part of my daily routine, and Health Guru Chantal is infuriating when she isn't hilarious. Unless this results in her cramming overpriced, toxic "sugar-free" items down her throat and carrying on as usual, I may have to gravitate elsewhere. But there really is room for no one else--Chantal's my main gal!

Can you imagine of she ends up buying "sugar free" garbage such as gummies,chocolates,etc...? She has no portion control and will eat all of it. She thinks she's had diarrhea in the past well she has no clue the laxative affect that will have on her. That would probably result in an ER trip due to stomach pains.
