Physical college classes for some people are better then online, I thrived better when I had the professor to interact with in real time and was in person listening to lectures, when I tried online classes I coudln't get in the mind set for class. The other thing physical colleges offer that online can't as much is networking, via students, professors, and alumi sure you can do it online but when you meet face to face it builds a stronger connection that can offer better job leads as you can see how the preson presents them self in real life, (e.g. this person presents them self as a professional and not a danger haired screecher).
I've mentioned it before but this whole thing has been set up and marketed like a lifestyle brand. And now you have a literal lifestyle marketer turned revolutionary setting up a black gun club.
Well well well, did they now?
my prediction for this weekend is that there will be a couple of provocation events aimed at getting people to shoot at fireworks wielding protestors, or desecration of monuments following by a provocative march.
Too many people do degrees. Degrees should be for a very small number, maybe the academically top 10%. That way there would be a few very high quality courses for stuff like history, which I do think is valuable. Or should be valuable. Because it’s very valuable if it’s taught as a nuanced thing and utter trash if it’s just brainwashing. It’s harder to do that with stem type subjects because they’re less open to interpretation (hence the massive push to ‘queer’ stem and wreck the scientific method.)
When Blair had his ‘half at uni’ Push, it just meant that kids who were below average academic at were going, and they needed courses and that opened up academic massively to infiltration, because instead of some crusty old don who had been there for fifty years you’ve suddenly got fifty courses that need teaching and you need some cheap postdoc to do it so let’s hire anyone. Which is how the Rhys McKinnon of the world get in.
Very few are served well by a purely academic education. Most need either the academic/practical streams of stuff like medicine, engineering etc or the technical/practical schemes like electrical/plumbing/hvac. These are good careers, you’re never out of work and nobody is brainwashing you.
The sooner the student debt bubble bursts the better. We need to go back to EDUCATING everyone in a stream which suits their talents, rather than shoving everyone into useless degree mills and having no discernible skills at the end.
There used to be 2 clear paths in secondary education: college prep and vocational. I really think we need to go back to that. Those who wanted to go into careers that required a college degree got the courses they needed to prepare them for that. Those who didn't, were able to get courses that prepared them to have a decent job/trade once they graduated from high school. Some of that is still available, but the push is to try to get as many kids in college as possible. They are really failing a lot of kids by pushing a route that will leave them in debt and no useful skills when they drop out of college after a semester or two.
The main problem is that we have allowed the elites to convince us that only those jobs which require college degrees are valuable and respected. We look down on those who have blue collar or service jobs and see them as losers. You can tell that by the protesters taunting cops about not having college degrees. It's simply a form of classism. Those who can afford a college education -- even if they end up working at a Starbucks after graduation -- are considered superior to someone who works construction or repairs your automobile. Until that changes, it is no wonder that everyone wants to get a degree and is willing to get in debt up to their eyeballs to do it.

The other problem is that companies are requireing what should be entry level jobs (e.g. level 1 IT Help desk) to have BAs/BSs if not advanced degrees and 5+ years of experience. Companies no longer want to provide the training nor investment in to new employees. Back in 2008 when the recession started some McDonalds were only hiring people with BAs/BSs leaving the teenagers and young adults with out a college education high and dry for any form of employment.
Good. College entrance has become a fucking rubber stamp. We need less, not more, people going to college and wasting their productive years, at best, partying, or at worst drinking the propaganda/koolaid.
It's also a huge government contractor. Making aberrant public statements threatening violence is a great way to get your clearance pulled. Most big contractors won't keep an employee on the books while they go through the appeal process, they just fire the person and replace them. Which, incidentally, removes the individual's basis for appeal. So if what I think happened, happened, she's going to have a hard time getting a job emptying trash cans at a national park for a while.
She has a LI page, but it's not public and my page capture extension is broken. Sorry for boomer tier text quoting.

She has also been endorsed by several of her Harvard colleagues for non-profit volutneering, government, and politics. Did you know LinkedIn captures endorsements of your politics? I did not.
All that work. She did all the right things. And she got fired from her very first job because she couldn't control her big yap.
So happy she recorded and published video of her sorrow, what a retarded move. Nevermind the option of a written apology, which would have a degree of class I might otherwise expect from a Harvard grad. She thinks she’s some dindu nuffin martyr that got wrecked for her stunning and brave lacktivism, and she’ll be damned if those inspired tears go to waste when there are internet asspats to harvest.
Couldn’t agree more. The idea that a degree in grievance studies is somehow better than the skilled pathway of something that will allow you to work on industrial electrical setups is just a joke. The latter gives you real skills. Plus the ability to work for yourself and employ others. Yet that mindset is pushed so hard - go to college or you’ll end up like ‘them.’ When really it’s expensive daycare, producing people who are barely literate, certainly innumerate and have zero critical thinking or psychological resistance. Perfect consumers, who can’t work for themselves.
Class is the real privilege. Always has been.
You know what? Do a little social experiment. Try abolishing police on a smaller scale.
Hear me out: they should build a wall around Detroit and cease any law enforcement activities in the whole city. And televise the sevurity camera footage around the world so people could see what a paradise they are missing and realise what a useless institution police is. People inside get to live in perfect socialist crime-free commune and everyone outside get to see a fun reality show.
Capitalizing the b in black has to be the most insecure fucking cope I have ever seen. They are overcompensating for something. Maybe that BBC isn't so big after all.

Kind of was done a few years back seems to have been memory holed, but when Detroit was first starting to recover after Kwame fucked things up to high heaven, there was a period of time were police were not to respond to most/all calls in the outer bands of Detroit that was mostly abandoned houses and buildings. Instead focusing on the areas that had life in them.
She's going to need much more than $10,000. Won't last long. She is presently radioactive to any professional employer. Nah, she better get that body and those holes ready to work.

So white is the only racial identifier that will not be capitalized because whites don’t have a shared identity the way joggers do. What about being persecuted for all other racial group faults? There, now there’s a shared identity amongst whites.

The situation is evolving quickly. This is from two weeks ago
Both perspectives may have informed TheSeattle Times when, counseled by a diversity and inclusion task force, it updated its style guide last year as follows:
Black (adj.): Belonging to people who are part of the African diaspora. Capitalize Black because it is a reflection of shared cultures and experiences (foods, languages, music, religious traditions, etc.) … white (adj.): Belonging to people with light-colored skin, especially those of European descent. Unlike Black, it is lowercase, as its use is a physical description of people whose backgrounds may spring from many different cultures.
Lads, I've just disproven the claim that the farms are a racist nazi site; my proof? When I was in a Mall waiting for a malt shake, (of the cookie dough variety) a middle-aged black gentleman complimented my ford mustang shirt. I thanked him for said compliment, and we went our separate ways. The narrative has now been eradicated, my friends.
