I originally wanted to make a cartoon, but then the cartoon community ruined that for me for how obnoxious and hiveminded they act.

And everytime I see art that just looks so awful, broken proportions, bad color combinations and that artist claims they're so great at art. Just makes me really depressed and pessimistic about egotistical artists with a bitchy attitude that also has a victim complex and wanting a safe space. Fuck Safe Spaces, there's no such thing.

Ahh, I remember the days when I wanted to be an animator or webcomic artist. Those dreams were shattered when Steven Universe came into existence and went to show how quality control doesn't exist anymore.

The thing that gave me that final push to study what I'm currently studying was basically spite for Rebecca Sugar (and contempt for Pendleton Ward and his hiring practices).

It may seem useless to some, but I don't plan on giving up on the good animators, the good ideas and the good writers that may come in the future. I want them to succeed and not in the way Becky succeeded, with half of your audience hating your show, and the other half praising it for how much virtue signalling you can force on a mediocre series. I want people to be recognized for their talent, and I'm gonna push hard to make it a reality, just to spite the idiots that have the current animation industry in flames

Because they're so hyperfocused on making a "diverse" cast that they make it their entire goal, making them interesting and full of personality is not of their interest.

Because their focus is on the charachter being gay/poc/aspie and they think if that isn't the charachter they aren't representing them correctly. That and they are awfully sheltered and only know human interaction through online activity on sites like TMBLR where being gay is a personality.

Diversity hires are a big fucking mistake, I get hiring people that are talented or really skilled, and then there's hiring people just for some useless woke points.

Same with shitty sjw artists as well. Heck, even when I make different kinds of characters, I mainly do them to draw something different anytime.

I'm glad I stopped using Tumblr though. Because I used to constantly draw anime muslim girls and being so misinformed about islam, now I draw what I think is good and I'm pretty lax towards religious stuff now.

I still hate that I'm in the same political side as these spastic sjw artists though...

I feel ya right now I'm working on a webcomic about a police force I made up to make myself feel better about what's happening and I was basing it off my mom who was cop back in the 80-90s I have a story but the concept art is a bit challenging also I am concerned that if I post it people would lose their shit and ban my work

In general, writing takes practice. Almost anything you find on the web like an SJW video game will have no higher up quality control like you would in regular publishing (note: this doesn't mean low quality media isn't produced by big corporations at all, just that there are more editors involved) and is made by young writers without much practice. Since they've been told they're a good writer and doing god(ess its sjw ofc)'s work since they make things with ~REPRESENTATION~ they don't even realize they're writing subpar as long as people kiss their ass. Some will grow into better writers, but the most obnoxious sjw will stay as is for their only desire is asspats.

The other thing that holds them back is creating propaganda, not content. While people don't like tv tropes, its still useful to look at their author tracts page to see that most works that involve a writer sperging about politics for 15 minutes aren't going to be above a C grade writing wise. When you get too distracted by making the bad guys strawmen and the good guys not having flaws, you uuncerimoniously flush most of your character development into the sewers. This can be seen in right leaning authors too - Chick Tracts being an extreme example that's all about being jesus propaganda.
