I don't blame you for the massive generalizations, the marxists and gender studies people have made things cancerous and started with Non STEM topics first. To the point when I was talking to a friend about soft sciences vs hard science, she didn't understand that "hard science" meant 100% empirical evidence and rational reasoning/assumptions to fill in the missing bits she has a soft science degree and she said "I hate people calling it 'hard science' my major is just as hard as any others". Political Science (Which I have a background in before switching over to Comp Sci) isn't "hard" because the systems and theories can easily be crushed by one person's whim. In theory a society like the US should be not experecing the riots and "occupation zone" it has been. Because people who other wise were seen as wackos were allowed to be given a voice because of a druggie's death, the media isn't acting like the 4th estate it should be or as the "watch dog of goverment" instead it is exploting what it can to get more eyes to sell more ads. When I was taking programming classes in the late 00s/early 10s the professors would give special attention to the women in the classes even if they didn't want it. The only reason why the guys in the class even made an effort to talk to one of the girls in one of the classes I had, was because she worked for Micro Center.

Most big contractors won't keep an employee on the books while they go through the appeal process, they just fire the person and replace them.
