World of Warcraft Rank 1 Player Reckful Commits Suicide

If I was a dead pro WoW player, I'd want my in-game funerals to be bloodbaths. None of this boring stuff. Ganking time!
not only that, but there are more issues, such as triggering some faggot on twitter and prompting them to "cancel you", or having to speak in a certain way (avoiding no-no words such as "nickelodeon"), or having to "support" every mentally ill individual that plays pretend, because otherwise you'll end up enrage said idiots from earlier.
Thank you 2014!
The people putting on these "mental health is important uwu" parades are the same people creating this corrosive atmosphere. Sadly, they don't notice or care and keep making it worse. Even a mentally stable person can start getting a little crazy from walking on eggshells everytime they just want to goof off on Twitter.

Most of the "bullying" on his posts weren't even that bad. Honestly unless they were telling him to kill himself I don't think it had much of an effect on what happened after. Idk for sure though. He prob just needed someone close to talk to and this corona shit just made everything worse for him.

Keep in mind that divers have to recover your corpse if you an hero off of a bridge. If you've ever seen that one tub soup picture - a razor blade suicide in a filled bathtub that wasn't found until she began to liquefy - then you know what being submerged will do to an decomposing body. Don't be the asshole that makes a diver have to get up close and personal with that. Water also does a lot of trauma when fallen into from a considerable height. IIRC Etika had severe head trauma from impact with the water.

No method of suicide is clean. Blowing your brains out with a shotgun is a very messy affair but so is a sleeping pill overdose that goes unnoticed for a few weeks.
Talk about your problems instead of making the guy who earns $10.50/hr pressure wash what remains of you off the sidewalk.

Yeah I used to be one of those divers. And one of the guys tasked with finding all the bits after a 12 story face plant. The water option is way more tolerable so long as raw sewage or ice is not involved. Finding them under water is not that hard if someone saw them go in and you can estimate a point of entry. (Search radius = 1/2 depth around POE for low current bodies. 1/4 depth up and 2x down current 1/2 depth side to side from POE for mid to strong currents. And at POE out to 4x depthdownstream, 1/2 depth cross current for swiftly moving water. Unless you have extremely strong tidal flows and rip currents or are in constantly churning surf. Which is a bitch to find anything in. )

the dude was already in a super unstable and unpredictable state of mind when he made that "i know im crazy and we havent talked in half a year but please marry me" tweet. when someone is unhinged and impulsive like that, anything or nothing could potentially trigger extreme overreactions.

tl;dr i think it is possible that negative tweets set him off and made him jump off the building, but you can't really blame them for it cause nobody can reasonably be expected to know the mental state of a stranger on the internet.

Damn I was planning to do it near a body of water if I decide to suicide just so it wouldn't be found.

Dunno, kys etc could set off the mentally fragile. Lot of unstable seeming people on Twitter, who I leave alone. They can argue with the voices. A tweet from me isn't needed.

oh i dont mean rudeposting like "lmao kys faggot" and "just jump off a bridge you queer lol", that shit doesn't get under anybody's skin

what i mean is just the raw moralfaggotry and antagonizing that runs rampant on twitter. think about it - you're super fucked up in the head right now, you just poured your heart into a public post proposing to some girl - and the reactions you get are people calling you a stalker, a creep, a harrasser? i can see that pushing you into a mindset of shame and guilt, which combined with his overall fucked up situation probably pushed him over the edge.

I didn't see this posted but I thought this was interesting:

The girl deleted her claims... someone feels guilty.
I didn't see this posted, so here's the archive:

All emphasis mine.
I also didn't want to come forward because I didn't want to be known as "that chick" the rape chick or whatever.... I wanted to be known for my music, thats all I ever wanted.
Contrast this line, with this one, which is the only line with anything remotely actionable alleged:
I'm in the restroom, he comes up from behind me while I'm not paying attention and kisses my neck... I freak out and am like "uhhh wtf are you doing!" he is like oh I didn't know you seemed into me.. I didn't show anything about me that I was into him other than I was being a nice human being.
"I don't want to be the rape chick, now watch me allege unwanted contact at best worst." (E: I need to stop thinking like a prosecutor)

This is of course preceded by:
My first day hanging in line with streamer friends we met the literally coolest streamers on Twitch and they invited us to hangout XDDD. I felt so cool lulll I couldn't believe it. LMAO. I mean you could imagine if you were hanging out with the "Ninja" of the time. I had butterflies up to my neck, I was so nervous. And everyone seemed so nice. They invited us to their room cuz they wanted to clean up etc.
Something something attractive women accepting invites to hotel rooms shocked they are propositioned something something.

I'll refrain from laughing too hard that her use of "clean up" accidentally told the truth in all likelihood.

Here's the crux of the issue I suspect:
I'm assuming he realized it wasn't gonna happen, pretty much implies to his chat of 50 thousand ppl I'm a leech, I asked him to defend me he said no, not my problem, why u so affected?

Its funny he even managed to turn, we'll call him "Italian", against me. At con we were smoking weed and he was cradling me like a baby. Was really sweet. 2 weeks later I see him on that guys stream, and him and "Italian" are going off on how I'm a such leech???
Sounds like the "italian" didn't get laid either. :story:

My interpretation is she acted flirty with a bunch of popular streamers including our an hero, "they" invited her to their room, an hero propositioned her, she said no, he called her a leech and apparently wasn't the only one.

tldr it's a big nothing, and I know she knows it.

Just found these links, apparently it was known for a while that Indie Fox (same girl who was about to #MeToo reckful and then deleted it) was skanking it up

Directly references her in the context of reckful

Indie flirts with a guy on stream... I 100% would not believe this woman.
Archives for the archive god.

Well, when you have chats full of people being the most horrid individuals, telling him to kill himself, it's going to take it's toll.

I used to watch his streams quite a bit, and still tended to pull it up as background noise, even not having played WoW in years and years. I won't claim to be a friend because I only knew him through his stream, but it's a super unfortunate situation.

This year has not been kind, and the 'rona/quarantine is bringing out the worst. We're not meant to be isolated to such a degree, and it undoubtedly is not good for your mental health if you were fine before. But to have issues in the first place? It's pushing them wildly out of control.

F
You ain't kidding, man.

Theres actually a few research articles about that are used to discuss morality and ethics in gaming:
Serenity Now Funeral Bombing

Being a pro streamer must be the most ridiculously stressful job in the world. You have to please a group of the most fickle fans in existence and accept that every minute of your personal and professional life are a commodity you have to provide to others for free and hope they're willing to donate money to keep it going. Any slip up, and mistake and your fan base can desert you and take your entire income with them. I'm surprised that suicide isn't even more prevalent than it already is.
