i scrolled through this entire thread hoping someone would bring up some random ass shit i ate once 10 years ago that i forgot i ate but really i just want those crunchy jack in the box french toast sticks again and i will never forgive those fucking bastards for taking it off the menu unprompted. jesus christ its been over a decade. they werent even that good but i will never forget watching spongebob vhs tapes while munching those motherfuckers down with some syrup on the side

Not quite the same thing as a discontinued food, but in the same spirit.

I tried out a restaurant in New England that was right next to a car repair place some years back. It had some insanely good Thai food, including the elusive dish, Mee Pad. It was a mix of veggies, rice noodles, and indescribable sauce. All I can say about it is that it went really well with their homemade peanut sauce, that it was like a variant of Pad Thai, and that I never saw another Thai place have it on the menu.

About a year or two, my SO went back to New England for a bit, and reported that the restaurant was gone. To this day, I never saw another place with this dish, nor have I ever found a recipe for it.

I hate the new formula, it tastes nothing like the original.

I really liked this, and the brownie flavor. It was a nice alternative to ice cream. But the past several months I can't find it anywhere. The grocery store I go to doesn't even have a spot for it on the shelf anymore, and no other stores in my town seem to carry it. I also saw a picture of a birthday cake cool whip and I am now sad I can't try that either. I can't seem to find any news of it being discontinued, it's just gone.

Just buy some Cool Hwip and Obama cookies, then crumble the Wayne Bradys in. Problem solved.
Lol that's a new way to say oreos. It's kind of a convenience thing, really. I could probably make it myself, and let it sit so the cookies soften and permeate the cool whip with their flavor. Now I want to try it with mint oreos.

I still see it but you can only get it as a 30 pack for like $11. I miss when the big brewers released stuff like Bud Ice and Icehouse just to see how the market reacted. At the same time I’m glad the regional beers are starting to come back to the stores like Hamms and Strohs instead of going to liquor stores that have bullet proof glass at the registers.

I had come here to post dunkaroos but real niggas don't die.

Doesn't count as discontinued but I'd be interested in seeing the Mcpizza everywhere. Doesn't look bad.

EDIT: Try to ignore the autist in the second video.
The few McDonalds that still make pizza though those aren't sanctioned by McDonalds corporate are they? I mean they're just franchises that make pizza and not necessarily the McPizza.

I heard Red Dog was still being made but it hasn’t been sold in my region in a long time. I like this new era of local breweries - we have three that sell in the local stores, but every now and then I wish I had a cold Red Dog.

YES. THANK YOU.

They're still around. Well, sorta. They re-branded themselves under the Maxwell House name, since it's the same parent company, so they're now called "Maxwell House International Cafe" or something similar. Don't know if they still taste the same; been too long since my youth to remember the taste. They aren't in the tins anymore, though, which is a definite mark against them.

It was a really dumb re-branding though because Maxwell House is generally associated with bitter-tasting shitty instant coffee. Good job shitting all over an already dying brand.
