You know, having "self awareness" doesn't make your comedy good, if anything it just proves how lazy you are. It's the same thing as that boom in "self aware sarcastic" media after Deadpool came out when everyone thought that what made Deadpool good was the 4th wall breaks and acknowledgement of the movie's flaws, not realizing that it was a lot more than just that. And having a really bad moment of writing but thinking it's justified by a character saying "lolz wow this is a bad writing moment!" Doesn't negate the fact that it's still shitty fucking writing.

I think Quinton wants Pewdiepie to use his platform to promote political ideas that Quinton believes in, which would alienate a huge chunk of his "toxic" (fun) subscribers and only leave a cult-like political echochamber, but would also turn him into a running joke that other YouTubers regularly mock, like what happened to Quinton.

Only a narcissist would give a shit about who watches their creations. It's difficult as is to get people interested and invested in whatever you're doing. Artist expression, whether it's film or music etc, is a powerful medium where millions of people find catharsis. Your fans support because you were able to tap into something inside them. Gratitude is the name of the game and that's something Quinton lacks. He doesn't want fans; he wants a cultlike following who never tell him he's wrong and will coddle him so he doesn't have to ever face the fact that's he's somehow a less charismatic Doug Walker. It's a disgusting way to view your supporters with a purity test.

The "trading up" bit in the Virtual Vidcon video and "HIT THE TRENDS!!!!" bit from the how to be successful on YouTube is all you need to understand why he's so loathsome. He has absolutely no appreciation for genuine human connections and would happily toss you aside once you've outlived your usefulness to him. This Vidcon video is the perfect summation of what makes Quinton not only a crappy content creator, but what a terrible self absorbed person he is.

And there were at least two youtubers that have come public about their experiences with him (Turkey Tom and TRO) and others are too "chuddy" for his liking like Internet Historian (who now is considered a dogwhistle) and Nerd City (who tried to help Mumkey to get his channel back and has seen more people like Quinton he has any right to suffer).
Hell, his most damming video has to be Every Video From The Gamer From Mars, since in that one Quinton acusses Art of going in tangents, calls him boring and generic and the thumbnail downright says "Worst Youtuber Ever", things that could easily be labelled as traits more appropiate to describe Q himself. Say what you will about TGFM but at least he has conducted investigations, has a team, is not an insecure bitch and can have fun about himself.

Isn't the whole thing with 'imposter syndrome' that those beliefs are unfounded? If other people are pointing those opinions out, maybe it's just fact? Perhaps if he didn't decide to go from anti-sjw to breadtube overnight he wouldn't feel so out of place.

That and Pewdiepie isn't political. Why so many BreadTubers and BreadTube orbiters whine about him and his audience so much is baffling.
