It's genuinely shocking that CNN has published this on their front page. I had extremely low expectations but this far exceeded them. Also, that person trying to imitate a bitchy buzzfeed writer is a 44 year old reporter named Chris Cilizza who looks every one of his 44 years.

It all relies on convenience culture... people don't want to sit down and listen to a 40 minute speech when they can just get the cliffnotes. And while that is reasonable, these dishonest media giants take advantage of the brokerage, inserting a horribly distorting lens for the price of that convenience... a sort of fast food equivalent of news consumption. In an ideal world, people would be disciplined enough to make time to consume the source material first-hand and form their own ideas and conclusions. But most "readers" are either too lazy -- they want someone else to do the lifting for them -- or infants who want to be spoonfed.

with me having a ton of friends that are furries, I'll chalk it up to clout, and to feel included. Most of them have been indoctrinated by social media, or they are so terrified to be called a racist that they pretend to support whatever new fad comes along. One reason I'm staying away from most of them, cause I don't like being involved with drama, I just like laughing at it from the sidelines. Speaking of which I wonder how many celebrities are just saying BLM, and don't actually support it

I'm torn because we have one 13-yo Sheltie who honestly doesn't care, two 5yo littermates, and we are sitting an elderly dachshund. The female littermate is especially anxious, but thankfully she's the only one.

But there is a ton of fireworks activity in my neighborhood, definitely more than I ever remember. I sent my drone up to scan the area. I'll bitchute it later. Maybe.

Well social distancing kinda fucked my usual 4th up. BLM did nothing as expected (despite having a huge black population). Had a nice afternoon with a small grill gathering. I'd have liked to have gone to see fireworks tonight, but they cancelled all that in the city due to the uptick, so I just hit the grill again shirtless with my dog, a few beers, and a pistol on my hip for dinner. Could have been worse (wish most of my friends here weren't such fags about covid), but I'll have to get up for 6 anyway
