Any goddamn day now, Zero will genuinely lose everything. Jisu not only wants to take away his career, she wants to fucking bury any chance he has at living a normal life ever again. When, from what we've seen, all Zero's done is show her porn when they were both minors.

I think a lot of people are reeling from Zero and Nairo. Nairo was one of the best players and had been rising with a victory at a major last year. Zero was perhaps the biggest content creator for Smash, and was highly regarded as one of the greatest players ever due to his win streak in Smash 4. I personally enjoyed his channel quite a bit, I liked his stories and anytime a new character would drop I’d check his takes on it. The fact that he is probably gone forever has a lot of people in shock, I would guess.

My take on that is that a lot of people are really desperate to make the large number of outed creeps larger by making new accusations and making the situation worse so they can jerk it to the traction and clout brought about by adding gasoline to the fire, and others are way too busy trying to make themselves seem like "good people" by retweeting callout posts and "letting the victims be heard" to the point that the actual victims are ignored and left to the wayside.
After that singular retweet, those same pearl clutchers on twitter won't give half a fuck about the story aside from the fact that it adds another famous name onto the long, ever expanding list of names. Hell, I'm 95% sure they don't even look at the accusation and retweet it regardless.
I'm really hoping and praying that puppeh holds on through this. Hopefully he can get himself the therapy he needs and press charges on Cinnpedo to finally find some justice. The poor guy deserves a happy adulthood, since his childhood was irreparably taken away from him.

After having read through the responses of the accused Smash player, I have to ask: do these niggers know that you can and should contact a lawyer?

Why would you post anything online without legal consultation after you've been accused of statutory rape or some other crime?

IDK about that, Capcom and Namco fighters will probably be fine in the long run since both those companies are heavily into Esports and do their own Tourneys and EVO's already purged the sick fucks. And Anime fighters are mostly a Japan thing.

Smash is fucked though for the foreseeable future. Nintendo was already leery of competitive Smash and having it be exposed as full of pedos has probably made them go "fuck this".

Haven't read the thread on this since I don't care for Smash, but a Swedish player is being accused of messing with minors as well.

Apparently, at some point, he was arrested at an event, for possession of drugs as well as soliciting/giving them to girls and supposedly attempting to have them leave the event area. (with him)
Attendees included minors.

Scandinavian communities are pretty small so there is a lot of overlap among people engaging in gaming, anime and any such.
I met this person briefly many years ago. He seemed like a total waste of space then, relying on acquaintances and constanly chatting up girls for food, money and a place to stay.
His continued behaviour checks out with what I saw back then. Not surprised by any accusations.

Zero asked a 14 year old girl to masturbate with ice and take a picture of it - but he DOES have a cool youtube channel. Clearly he's the Roman Polanski of smash - although Roman Polanski was... 43, and drugged and raped a 13 year old girl.

Just ban everyone who has no business being there from the fighting game community, such as women, children, and trannies. That was the solution to #metoo in the workplace and it'll work for the FGC.

I’m going to guess that most of these folks are of the sort that think Twitter is the real world and therefore feel the need to respond quickly since so many other people bow before the mob, albeit for way less severe slights (making an ethnic joke a decade ago, having the gall to write a book about people of a different race). Maybe they suffer from not seeing proportionality that is true of most Twitter mobs, which is why they see no difference between Louis CK and Harvey Weinstein.
