TGWTG Allison Pregler / Obscurus Lupa / Movie Nights - The vindictive leader of #ChangeTheChannel, GOTIS personified, vendetta against The Cinema Snob

Yesterday Lupa posted a video of herself on twitter literally crying and shaking over the fireworks outside of her apartment. She removed it quickly afterwards, because it was so cringy even for her! Did anyone manage to save this before it was deleted?
Hope she doesn't lose her head tonight because it's the 4th of July today and that means fireworks will be going off non-stop!

Now let's all feel sorry for Film Brain who got his feelings hurt from a movie review.

Remember when he not only said nothing when Lupa spent years targeting Brad's wife and mocking her grief over her father, but he also contributed to calling an entire grieving family liars for what was a very obvious targeted harassment campaign from CtC.

Hey Film Brain, you can be against online harassment, or you can be a Lupa supporter. You cannot be both.

Here’s the whole thread.

I think she'd commit suicide once menopause hits and her closeted boyfriend still hasn't married her.

It's a really strange, sterile, uninvolved, emotionally distant """relationship""" for sure.

No one cares enough about the other or themselves to really do anything about their relationship, have nothing better to do to motivate them to quit and they merely enjoy the shallow pleasantries of a make-believe relationship that is happening 95% over WhatsApp smalltalk and 5% on Twitter.
Their interactions in crossovers are hardly something to go by, but whenever they talk to each other on camera, all I can think of is that I've seen people being more passionate towards the burger-flipper at a McDonalds, when ordering extra fries.

Haven't thought about Lupa in years and didn't know she and Phelous were still feigning in a relationship. Read the thread, googled 'Obscurus Lupa boyfriend', and found some pretty telling edits from a (presumably) now-defunct confessions blog.

What is it about TGWTG that brings out so much autistic obsession? These can't be newer than 2011 or so, based on the usage of "liek OMG"

Shoutout to the 17-19 year old boy with tiddies who has more chemistry with Phelous than Lupa after a near decade long relationship. Sheesh.

This confuses me so much. I remember my autistic older sister showing me scenes from Kickassia and I felt shame. Shame for the people who were in it. Shame that I had a sister who seemingly enjoyed it. Shame that it even existed. It just seemed like something that *shouldn't* exist. Something where someone involved would look at it and be like "God damn, what were we thinking? Burn all copies of this please!"

This doesn't seem like a personal attack to me at all. It feels like a legitimate question. The idea that someone wouldn't feel shame from being in a Channel Awesome film honestly scares me.

But I thought those movie sets were traumatizing and full of abuse? Seems weird to have fond memories over such a toxic environment. It's almost as if it were made up by someone who wanted revenge for losing her job.
To me, it sounds like Film Brain couldn’t think of a way to throw Doug under the bus.

That pic of them together posing for a picture Jesus he looks normal not in love but at least normal while she looks like she's probably threatening him threw her teeth. Also why the fuck smile like Jack Nicholson's Joker?

The cringe of the let's-get-the-band-together movies was overwhelming, so never watched them; they didn't appeal to me (or many others, if not most who went on the site), so it was a select group within the CA 'fandom' that watched them--e.g. people who recognized everyone in the motley crew of mediocre reviewers. Even so, the vibe of the AVGN crossover and even Kickassia was a little romp of people who didn't take themselves too seriously, and got an opportunity to meet up and have fun. This is why the low quality was excusable; it was pretty standard for any internet collab at the time.

The exhaustion from Suburban Knights and To Boldly Flee came from how many extra people were added (that no one knew or cared about), piling onto the runtime, and generally thinking they were "movies" instead of LARPing e-friends hanging out. It's understandable that an autist with a limited amount of IRL friends (whether supplemented by internet fwiends or not) would like the first two crossovers, because in the nicest way, they were 'cute.' Never good per se, but cute.

Anything out of CA after 2011 is just obnoxious and inexcusable, because at that point, they took themselves too seriously as artists/entertainers, and there were people doing what they'd been doing for years, but much, much better. And some still are, like Red Letter Media, and Double Toasted after Spill an hero'd. The crossovers would be much more excusable if they were just 20 minute sketches or backstage stuff filmed at a con, not a full fledged attempt at a cinematic experience.

One of the saddest videos I’ve seen on YouTube is that guy who is gleefully showing off the autographed copy of Kickassia while sitting on his bed with half naked cartoon girl posters on his wall. I’m guessing he’s probably in jail now.

Funny thing , I remember a lot of crossovers were indeed done at cons and in the downtime of anniversary filming.

Just for the fun of it I watched Brad's movie theater review of Mother's Day from four years ago just to see how Allison used to act with Brad.

It's weird to think that only four years ago Allison was having fun with Brad and they were genuinely having a good time talking about this movie, and now she has nothing but seething hatred for Brad in that short of a time.

A lot's changed over the last 4 years, enough to make my head spin.

I assume night is beginning to fall in Lupa's neck of the woods, and with it comes 4th of July fireworks. If she hasn't joined the Klan by sunrise I'll be surprised.

She doesn't just appropriate fanbases, but she also does this with social movements. When MeToo got big, suddenly now she's an abuse victim because she got her feelings hurt years ago. Black Lives Matter is big now, so suddenly she gets PTSD from fireworks because she once "lived in a bad neighborhood," despite never mentioning any of this in the past. She's not a survivor, she's a shut in with a victim complex.

The only thing she genuinely suffers from, is the fear of ever not being the top victim.

can i just say (as someone who hasn't seen to boldly flee before) lupa having a issue with the rape scene but not the scene where her and Nostigla chick arguing like an bad E show is really weird

Oh look, two people who love weaponizing their fanbases to target people they don't like are really upset when people say mean things about them.
