The way Standard American English is so complex that if you're black and your IQ is below 100 you speak the degenerate mush-mouthed grammatically incorrect language of AAVE instead that no one who is intelligent cares to understand because of its ugliness and stupidity ... that is so powerful; I love being White so much.

Here’s why we celebrate the Fourth of July:
  • It’s when the United States declared itself independent from the British Empire
  • The Revolutionary War helped free colonists from British tyranny (such as not having representation in Parliament and having unfair taxation)
  • The colonists that fought the Revolutionary War were fighting the strongest military of the time and managed to win
  • After years of the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution was ratified in 1789, which included things such as the Bill of Rights and separation of powers
  • With the way the government was set up with the Constitution, it allowed for more amendments to be added, which insured that with changing times, that the government could work with it
Not everything was perfect, but by diminishing the accomplishments of the United States independence from the British Empire, you are diminishing the strides in society that were made possible because of the way the government was set up by the Founding Fathers.

Also, I recommend reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine. It’s a short, but important book on exactly why the United States fought the British Empire.

This post makes me MOTI because it’s pretty much gaslighting others about the cause. BlackLivesMatter, from its inception, has always been political because it chose to tackle political issues, such as the way law enforcement is used. This is entirely disingenuous. You can’t just claim it isn’t political or too controversial once you start getting flack for it, that’s not how this works.

I've run into this argument before with friends and family. I just go off on a tangent about female circumcision until they fuck off.

It is illegal in my county and state for private fireworks to be set off.

Well, the party I attended was surrounded by neighbors setting off fireworks, I saw some on the drive home, and then my neighborhood had a ton going off.

Illegal as fuck, but still it was pretty and nice to see.

Whoever decided to name the group Black Lives Matter is a marketing genius because they've positioned themselves in a way where nobody can disagree with them. And if someone does, you can just call them racist and shut them down.

But I've always been one to look at actions rather than labels, and with BLM, I see property being destroyed, business being ransacked, and people being harmed and killed...including black people! And the media being able to just willfully ignore all of it or justify it is just disgusting.

What with this "African American Vernacular English" shit popping up recently? I thought we already called the negro cultural inability to pronounce the R at the end of words and constant use of the word Nigga every 5 seconds Ebonics?

The trouble starts, when they try and attach a 'respectable' and 'science-y' term to it and legitimize it.

Though come to think, isn't this like how they have to change the term used to refer to Black Americans every couple of decades? Negro was once acceptable, and now it's racist so it became Afro-Americans. Wait, that's bad now, so now it's African Americans. How far off are we from demands that we call them Wakandan Nobles who's rich, culturally enhanced tounge is AAVE?

It's just more ripples of neocolonialism dressed up as progressivism, which describes basically every white leftist social stance. "We can't uplift the black community and expect them to speak English the way everybody else does, because they're just too darn uncivilized--I mean, too darn marginalized and underprivileged." So now it's AAVE and it's super valid.

When I first started watching The Wire, I had to switch to using subtitles on the account of not understading what the fuck the ghetto-trash were saying. Slurring most your words like a stroke victim and using "nigga" in place of comma does not help.
I just watched that show for the first time a few months ago, and it deserves all the hype, it's up there with sopranos for sure.

Jesus fucking CHRIST, why is it always with the "stolen land" bullshit?
These killjoy fucks are free to FUCKING LEAVE anytime because:

This land is MY LAND,
This land ain't yours,
I got a shot gun,
And you don't got one.
I'll blow your fucking head off,
If you don't get off.

This land was made for ONLY ME.

Happy belated Fourth fellow Kiwi's! Keep blowing shit up and barbecuing dead meat, Daddy Covefe is proud!

for any kiwi's who aren't gun savvy, basically this means he can't shoot even if he wanted to because the bullet isn't feeding into the gun properly, and he has to clear it before he wants to shoot. this usually only happens due to constant firing which results in either overheating or residue buildup which makes the mechanics work sluggishly.

in this case, the guy either isn't cleaning his gun or is using really shit ammo that doesn't feed right. and the fact that he hadn't noticed it means its probably not his gun or he hasn't trained with it.

If you liked The Wire, then I can recommend the kind of 'prequel' to it, The Corner - it's like a 6-part thing set in the same neighbourhood as the slums in The Wire - it was pretty good IMO.
