I'm seeing a lot of threads about politics and "If things will get better" threads here so I'm here to offer my 2 cents.

If you're feeling overwhelmed of feeling a lack of control currently, I don't blame you. It's a very confusing time.

I reccomend you take a break. Hone a skill. Learn a new one. Develop a habit. That's what I did and I can say with complete honesty, things ARE getting better for me.
Just focus on yourself and what you can do to improve yourself. That's what you can do to change things for not only you, but this nation we all love. We all hate to see what's happening to her. But this is not the end. Not yet.
Get better, and become your own leader.

It pays dividends in the end boys.

"Politics". You mean you read a lot of North American posters and people who would kill their mother for a greencard?

I suggest you look into the remainder of the world; anything outside US borders, and realize most people are doing other things. This is why people fucking loathe the US, and we see such stupid takes as #allcountriesmatter trending on Twitter. You can't even go down quietly. You need to make a big stink about your oh-so-important riots, that only further cause damage to other countries trying to mimic them in solidarity.

The further east you got in Europe, the fewer BLM protests you see. The less the American influence reaches. And by god I hope that's how it will come to be when America lost half its population to open bars and freedum.

The fact that there are BLM protests in Europe at all is either evidence of you guys caring more about the U.S. then you're letting on, or extreme astroturfing.

Let me give you the take from someone who, according to you, "would kill their mother for a greencard": You're right in a few points but not all of them.

I'll give you some of the examples from the counties near my own: Bolivia has a huge native population problem and an institutional crisis more in tune with South Africa. Chile has a not so loved far-right government that isn't handling the COVID outbreak or the economy in a very graceful matter. Colombia has a huge problem dealing with a massive, unregulated immigration wave from Venezuela. Brazil, with a declared alt-right and Trump supporter government is failing in every possible sense (the rain forest destruction, the native amazonian population displacement, the COVID outbreak and a terrible economic recession). Argentina, my homeland, is at the brink of economic default (again). All those countries you disregard as "failed states" see your racial struggles as either a petty squabble that went WAY out of hand or the cries of a bunch of spoiled children complaining about their favorite toy getting dirty when in reality, the ones in the know are aware of the horrible racial problems plaguing your country since forever. Aside from the regular group of retarded far-leftists with way too much time in their hands, no one organizes a BLM rally anywhere that manages to make something more than a side-note in that day's paper.

You're right in that all this shit you're going through rn doesn't really affect anyone except yourselves. I can guarantee you that but, generally speaking, the world doesn't loathe you. You're not the only nation with a super loud left that really doesn't represent the popular opinion. Your first mistake is taking Twitter as a political temperature probe. Everyone's mistake is to take Twitter seriously.

I try to come on to this website as a form of escape by laughing at a bunch of humanized dumpster fires. It gets hard to do that when I see someone occasionally sperg about politics and said politics isn't exactly what I agree with. It's all too reminiscent of other social media sites that I try to avoid :(

It just means we have soros funded communists too.

To understand Europeans perception of Europe, remember that we mostly just get your left wing news (CNN and lateshows) and have to actively persue if we even want to see something like fox news.
