guess which one Connor wrote
But of course. The 18.8 KB one?
My impression is that Connor wants to make it big with writing, so he doesn't have to work 40 hours a week. Maybe he thinks he can even achieve a permanent retirement lifestyle on royalties from stuff he writes? Given how few authors make it big - among other factors - that's about as realistic is buying lottery tickets as an "investment."I assume Connor wants to work a standard 40 hour work week eventually
Oh, yeah! I nearly forgot about that!I think he's said before he wanted to be an English teacher, so I assume he plans to eventually transfer to U. of South Carolina in Beaufort and study language arts education.
Connor about a year ago in chat said:When I get a teaching job years from now, and get published, it'll be my fucking laugh.
The difference is that it only took OPL six years to graduate from community college. Who knows how long it'll take our little cow.I guess Connor, like Chris, has so much STRESS in life that he can't do simple things.
Oh, yeah! I forgot all about CLEP tests! I think most of them are for intro-level classes anyway, so he should have no problem. If @Connor is as much of a literary prodigy as he claims to be, you'd think that he would take some College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests for English. Basically, CLEP tests are the ultimate ladders in the Chutes and Ladders game that is university: locate proctored test site, pay fee, take test. If you fail, you've lost the test fee and about an hour or so, but nothing else. If you pass, you receive college credit on your transcript equal to an entire semester-long course (usually three credit-hours, sometimes more).
Those tests saved my bacon when my college credits were miscalculated by my advisor, and passing the tests I took allowed me to graduate at the time I had planned. If Connor's good enough at writing to make a career out of it right out of high school, it should be a piece of cake for him to make a couple of literature and writing tests "his bitch."
I'm sure I can.You think you could pass an English clep Connor?
'm putting Alphaboy on hold, because a fascinating idea for a novel came to mind lately. I've been brainstorming.
*prays, takes a deep breath*What's your new novel idea?
So you're going to sperg about how much you hate adoptive parents again?*prays, takes a deep breath*
I've been feeling a little philosophical lately, a little introspective. Listening to Pink Floyd's The Wall can do that. I feel I need to get more darkness out of me before I churn out Alphaboy. Basically, it's a spiritual successor to Juno, using the film's uncertain ending as a jump-off point and exploring the consequences of such a situation.
No, not at all. A major aspect of the story is going to be the relationship between the kid and his single adoptive mom. I doubt it's as happy as the Gillespies, though. So you're going to sperg about how much you hate adoptive parents again?

I see this being way more grounded in reality, and very psychological. Kind of like The Wall. Will this be more grounded in reality, or have a sci/fi slant to it? And will it be in your shared universe as well, or a one-off project?

I don't hate it, per se, but given my skepticism and negative view of human nature...Wait you actually hate adoption? I thought you were just trying to be 2edgy4me.
