Careercow The Irate Gamer / Chris Bores / Chris Neo Show - AVGN Copycat Turned Ghost Doctor

I actually question how he got Ernie Hudson on his show.
Okay, I was gonna say, damn, Ernie must really need the money if he's appearing on an irate gamer video.
Hudson is only in it for like ten seconds, clearly filmed at a different location, and sounds more indifferent than he's probably ever felt about anything in his life. Bores probably slid into his DM's and offered him a few hundred bucks to do a single take of his lines.

And it worked. I watched the video because Hudson being in it piqued my curiosity. I thought it might be a full fledged collab. Goddammit.

Whatever else we might say about Bores, he had a lock on JewWario way ahead of the curve.

Nah, that was more of Bores' insane spiritualism rather than knowing what Justin did.

This makes me yearn for a simpler time where the biggest online dramas were about which man yelling at an old game was the best.

Yeah, I'd imagine this collab would have been mind blowing had it taken place a decade ago, but given that these two are both well past their prime (coupled with the fact that this isn't even the first time they've worked together) it's hard for me to view it with anything other than indifference.

In typical Irate Gamer fashion, he doesn't even get the fallen reviewers right. The guy to the left of Bores is FivePoints Vids, who's never reviewed games. His channel is sports commentary.

Bores probably meant to use FivePoints' collaborator UrinatingTree, who was a game reviewer before he started talking about sports. That image of Fivepoints is from this upload by UT. I'm confident that Bores went to UT's channel for an image, looked for a video that might have his face in it, and assumed he was the guy in the Giants jersey, even though the description makes it pretty clear FivePoints is the Giants fan.

I never knew of Emer Provost being a game reviewer either. He was also pretty niche.

This is the second time in the past few months that he's misused an image of FivePoints in one of his vids. Chris either genuinely doesn't know or is genuinely stupid. I think we all know which one it is.

He did review old games, so at least there's some basis for him being there. But calling FivePoints a game reviewer is just the latest example in Bores' storied history of getting things wrong.

It's also interesting to note that FivePoints and UT got more subscribers from discussing sports than Bores has with his angry gamer routine. Most angry reviewers have "fallen" because unless you're AVGN, there's no more interest in it.

Tree was capable of trying new things until he found something that truly caught on. Chris would be wise to take notes from that angry Yinzer.

He was a very long time ago. He was actually the first one of those angry game reviewers I discovered back in the day. They're still archived if you're interested in seeing them:
I think this was around 2006 or so.

Bores is terrible at being informative, reliable at being underwhelming, but he does a decent job with his special effects for The Irate Gamer. They aren't mind blowing, but it appears to be where his strength is. Insert 'no, his strength is being a fag' retort Chris is pretty cringey, especially with his side characters, and his story arcs remind me of Linkara levels of dumb.

As for this crossover, Bores is marketing it as some epic battle. I suspect it will be cameo clips, similar to how Ghostbusters was handled. Unlike the rest of the crew, James is still socially isolating, which is why I think this will be so far from IG's marketing hype.

That was a point Silent Rob made in his Unsolved Mysteries/rant video - Irate Gamer was being featured by YouTube because of his special effects. The special effects are the only reason Bores gained an audience.

It makes sense that Bores would use Rob and Armake21 as the first two "missing" reviewers to appear because they were the most outspoken against him.
