I'm sure Ron's smaller than the guy in the pic, but there's no doubt about his low testosterone levels, he does drink soy and acts like the manlet/Karen he is daily.

Since I have the DVD, I checked out the Soul Eater commentary for episode 44 which has Monica Rial, Colleen Clinkenbeard, and Maxie Whitehead. Monica is aware she gets typecast as the insane characters and was happy about Tsubaki being a normal character for once. She also used to request chocolate from people at cons, but that stopped before 2011 because she was watching her diet. (Look how that went for her.) Around eight minutes in the director, Zach Bolton, was telling the girls through text “Get back to Soul Eater” since they were derailing topics like no one's business, which suggests to me that someone has to supervise all of these commentaries probably so no one says something stupid. Was the only interesting insight about this commentary tbh.
Oh, Monica joked they would be great shop-lifters as Weapons, and that she'd be the smoke bombs. And she called lip flaps stupid, her biggest dub wish is a show with characters doing telepathy the entire time so everything could be abstract and dubbing could be quick. It came off as sniveling than as someone who actually enjoys dubbing while still finding it a challenge to match the lip flaps.
Lol that's not an answer, Monica. Maxie had a legit response in that she did multiple reads for other characters, but Corona stood out the most to her which she found interesting in hindsight. I guess Monica can't identify with a character without being typecasted as lolis or psychos.
Wonder if she still asks for that even though love and affection at cons is rape, now.

Colleen: Was there a character in this that you heavily identified with during the audition process?
Monica: Well you know what, when I auditioned, I guess my first instinct was like “Okay, well, there's Patty,” like there's the twins. And I was like oh there's Patty, she's a kid, she's spunky, whatever. And I read for Tsubaki but I didn't think that's not normally what I get cast for so I was like oh well I'll read it, whatever. So when I got cast as Tsubaki, I was like “Oh, well that's a nice surprise. I'm not the little kid. I'm not the spunky one, I'm like the ninjaaaaa.”
