I mean, at this point, how much worse could a modern-day Thirty Years' War make everything? At least in a religious war you're actually fighting for something, unlike the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Most Christians aren't in communion with the crazies, cult leaders, and scam artists, and don't consider them churches or even Christians. We can't disassociate ourselves from them any more than that. We're not allowed to torture heretics any more, and even if we could, the secular state won't execute them for us.

So long as scam artists such as Kenneth Copeland and Jim Bakker keep doing what they're doing, so long as cults such as the Mormon church continues to exist, and so long as dumb preachers telling people why Pokemon will 'send your kids to Hell' then of course the religion will be meet with ridicule.

To most Christians, these are literally who and literally what. I thought Kenneth Copeland was a country singer and Jim Bakker dug up dinosaurs. I've never heard a preacher from any denomination mention Pokemon. I'm sure a few have in the last 25 years, it just doesn't seem like a common topic.

Seriously, its claiming that the minority of Christians with bad ideas are totally accepted by the Rest. The truth, even during the Satanic Panic it was a small minority.

Ironically, having gone from atheist to christian myself, I only found out how small of a minority and how shunned by the rest of the community was later. So anyone who makes such claims signals out to me as one of the people who listened whole heartedly to the vocal atheist crowd and never actually applied doubt or skepticism.

They're not very bright so I assume they believe Tucker has a fraction of the views that he actually has. Keep in mind the Lincoln Project has Rick Wilson and other lying dumbasses so they're not going to do anything as strenuous as a google search to verify that what they're saying is true.

Edit: On the flip side maybe they're imagining that showing their ad on TV during popular Fox programs is equivalent to people choosing of their own volition to watch something like Tucker?
