Shanked with a sharpened tooth brush for irony. So, what implement is Nick going to get stabbed with in prison? Any bets?
I disagree, Ed Gein deserved less than Nick Bate; Ed Gein was mentally ill, Nick Bate is lucid.
Who says they have to touch him? A little lighter fluid and an incendiary device while he's in his cell'll do the job just fine.
If the guards ask about the smoke and the fire and the smell, they're holding a barbecue.
If was able to make one last tweet do you think he'd still be doing that stupid "aboot" shit?
I think Nick Bate doesn't die behind bars, at least, not just yet.
He may or may not plead out. Functionally, he's already confessed to his actions online; however, dropping those into a court case could lead the defense to make a case that he's mentally unwell. There may be something to that, but the DA could decide this is the case to fight to bitter end, and Nick Bate could wind up with the full 40 years.
The US Prison System knows better than to put people like Sick Nick in general population. If he's with other lifers behind bars, he's probably dead--someone with nothing to lose adds another life sentence to their record. He'll go to protective custody, where he'll find no friends and that he is a very small man in the world.
There is some chance that he blows it; that he doesn't follow protocol or otherwise derps up--and then he gets moved to general or an inmate gets a chance to inflict violence upon him.
What Nick will never again be able to avoid is the knowledge that he is a terrible person. Even if he comes out from behind bars at 63 (not implausible) with teeth provided at state expense, the knowledge that he must be kept away from the average person because they will hurt or kill him will be a fact of life. So will the sex offender stigma, and rightly so.
It may very well be better for Nick himself just to end it all. He can now forget having a job, family, or any other thing in his life--he'll come out from prison in 2055 an old man with no use or purpose.
What happens in cases like that in prison? If you have a prisoner who refuses to follow basic hygiene, or worse, smears his shit all over the walls?
