This made me think a bit. How much do you think these are his real political views, and how much is this just him being a doormat for his wife? Because Anthony Fantano is anything but a strong personality, and if I know anything about black women it's that they will hate the fuck out of white men in public while fucking the hate out of them on the side.

I used to love putting his videos on as background noise while doing mindless work. I unsubscribed a few years ago when he shifted to almost all rap/pop (he may have changed this, but I haven't checked in), but even back then, he did a pretty good job at keeping a level head.
Everyone knew that he was left-wing, but even the right-wing viewers could enjoy him for the fun personality, since he generally kept his politics separate from his main material, and went about it in a serious and reasonable way.

Just because of the way he used to be, part of me has the small belief that this Twitter sperging is simply just his new online personality, much in the same way his joking one was. In an attempt to shield himself from further cancellation, he's just trying to emulate the run-of-the-mill brainless Twitter blue checkmark.
I kind of hope for this, because it could potentially lead to him eventually dropping it and distancing himself from this cannibalistic crowd. If he doesn't, and this childishness is here to stay...Then it is only a matter of time before they once more descend upon him for a joke he said, years ago.

I remember reading a comment on one of his sillier reviews years ago that went something along the lines of:
"The great thing about Anthony is that he isn't afraid to laugh at funny things, even if it may be generally offensive or off-color. He even laughs at his own flaws, and just wants people to have a good time and listen to music."

Nothing lasts forever, I guess.

I'm not much of a music fag, so I can't really comment on how good or bad his taste in music is.

As a general rule, youtube music connoisseurs have shit taste that only gets worse as they are forced to expand to whatever trend the public is listening to.
Fantano is no different. The guy unironically finds merit in Nickelback just to be a contrarian with a "bold" take.

It's weird, you'd think a music fag would know about how for the last 30 years, a certain music genre becomes mainstream, oversaturates with bandwagoners, dies, then becomes a laughing stock until it fades to irrelevance (hair metal/nu-metal/metalcore).
The same can apply to current PC advocates and EssJays. By 2025 people will mock the diehard fans who bought into it while the casual/normie fans will move onto the next trend.

Stopped watching years ago when it became clear he didn't give a shit about the albums. He's forced to make videos about big acts and corporate indie so teenagers can brag about listening to contemporary music, and all that stuff have the exact same flavor. Zoomer music can fry one's brain pretty bad.
