I work on a comic and I missed a lot! Idk why you all are still trying to help him. Everyone had to repeat the same talking points and persuasions just for him to make 10 posts about nothing. When he wants to change and get help, he'll do it. If I hated someone and they tried to give me advice in my depressed stupor I wouldn't take it (if I stayed a depressed child like him). Being too empathetic is something I have an issue with.
I actually used to be like this fuckwit (minus the e-begging, everything else though.) and eventually it actually fuckin' clicked that the more I kept up being like them the worse my life would get and the more friends I'd lose, so I decided to actually grow the fuck up. I forgot that Lou doesn't have empathy for others, his own world revolves entirely around him, even when talking about other people, and that's all that'll matter to him so long as he's complacent in his situation.

I'm not actually expecting him to take any advice in this thread, but if he's going to come here and play victim, I'm going to at least try applying logic to the situation. In this case, it means pointing out that he knows he has a problem and isn't doing anything about it. I do hope one day he will be in a better place and cringe at his behavior today, though.

Don't think he would meet the criteria off the top of my head, but it would only be by a tiny margin. Without knowing his true feelings inside that big head of his, we will never know for sure.

The two conditions are really similar, but bipolar mood swings are a lot longer lasting. Lou cycles pretty rapidly, hours or days at best, which is pretty much the BPD hallmark. Harder to diagnose in men too, cause it's seen as a women's condition mainly.

I personally vote for that one since (sorry to any kiwis with BPD but you know damn well from cow threads on here it's true for Lou's type) BPD pretty reliably translates to 'huge fucking bitch'.

That diagnosis isn't given to someone until they've reached adulthood because the human brain is still developing well through adolescence and teen years.
