Just read this last night after finding an old HP Lovecraft book at my local thrift store, and GOD, was this on the nose for what's going on!!

It is an odd day when H.P. Lovecraft's xenophobia and racism seems down right reasonable and measured.

There's an old school version of conservatism that boils down to "favor whatever works". Not in the political sense, but in the realist, societal sense. You start with the society you have, tinker around the edges, and discard changes which cause destruction. The key is being willing to roll back something you previously advocated for, once you accept that it didn't work.

Populism vs elitism doesn't matter, those are different ways to exercise political power. You should adopt different tactics based on the society you find yourself in. Do you have a largely uneducated, highly localized population? Then go with elitism. Do you have a corrupt elite class that is oppressing the connected, politically engaged populace? Then go with populism. Switching tactics isn't abandoning principles, unless there's a principled objection to the tactic itself; but both options have advantages, drawbacks, and risks.

The GOP used to be the elitist party and the Dems were populist. Now it's reversed. Their underlying ideologies are being fragmented all over the place, but that's a separate issue from the issue of where they try to draw their power.

Given who favors these riots and who objects to them, I could see the GOP post-Trump turning into a populist, semi-conservative party, although I think it's more likely it turns into a populist reactionary/counter-revolutionary party.
The GOP is finished. Trump is the last GOP President. They promised to put Americans First with the Hire and Buy American. That never happened at all. The MAGA furries did nothing but larp. Never once did they promote a Hire American Fair, Website or reach out to anyone during of those Larping rallies. Trump won in 2016 because 10's of millions of Whites were being fucked over and the GOP promised a remedy. No other issue is enough for Americans to forget they were fucked, betrayed and lied to.

I don't know if Tucker Carlson visit Kiwi Farms but he founded some cool skeletons in Don Lemon's closet about what Don said on the black community. https://thepoliticalinsider.com/car...s-that-would-get-him-fired-immediately-today/

Carlson: “They Would Be Fired Immediately!”
CNN host Don Lemon has been defending the Black Lives Matter movement on his show in recent weeks, claiming that they are simply being painted as “extreme,” just like Martin Luther King Jr apparently was. Tucker Carlson decided to take Lemon down a peg or two on his show on Wednesday night.

“Now if you’re running a channel like CNN, you want dumb people on TV because they are compliant, they will say what they’re told, they will tell the audience what the moment demands, they will never stray from the script, and that’s exactly what Mr. Lemon is doing,” Carlson said

“But just seven years ago, it was a different country and people were kind of allowed to say what they thought was true. And so at the time, here’s what Don Lemon was saying about black communities,” he added.

He then played a clip from Lemon’s 2013 show, where he critiqued problems in the black communities:

More than 72 percent of children in the African-American community are born out of wedlock, that means absent fathers. And the studies show that a lack of a male role model is an express train right to prison, and the cycle continues. So please, black folks, as I said, if this doesn’t apply to you, I’m not talking to you.
Pay attention to and think about what has been presented in recent history as acceptable behavior. Pay close attention to the hip-hop and rap culture that many of you embrace, a culture that glorifies everything I just mentioned. Thug and reprehensible behavior, a culture that is making a lot of people rich, just not you and it’s not going to.
“Can you imagine what would happen if Don Lemon or his bodybuilding buddy [fellow CNN anchor Chris Cuomo] over there or any of these hair-hats said something like that on CNN tonight or MSNBC?” Carlson asked his audience. “That would be their last live broadcast ever. They would be fired immediately. You can’t express views like that, and so they don’t. It tells you a lot.”

The clip of Don from 2013 starts around 2:47.

Tucker pronouced Don's last name as lee·mon. Not leh·muhn. What is the proper pronunciation for his last name? Its fa·guht.

It is an odd day when H.P. Lovecraft's xenophobia and racism seems down right reasonable and measured.
After reading the Street a week or two ago, I have just in the last couple of days read The Horror at Red Hook and He (they're public domain - no need to archive).

Lovecraft lived in NYC for a while and was disgusted by the people who lived there, and it showed up in his writing.

The population is a hopeless tangle and enigma; Syrian, Spanish, Italian, and negro elements impinging upon one another, and fragments of Scandinavian and American belts lying not far distant. It is a babel of sound and filth, and sends out strange cries to answer the lapping of oily waves at its grimy piers and the monstrous organ litanies of the harbour whistles. Here long ago a brighter picture dwelt, with clear-eyed mariners on the lower streets and homes of taste and substance where the larger houses line the hill. One can trace the relics of this former happiness in the trim shapes of the buildings, the occasional graceful churches, and the evidences of original art and background in bits of detail here and there—a worn flight of steps, a battered doorway, a wormy pair of decorative columns or pilasters, or a fragment of once green space with bent and rusted iron railing. The houses are generally in solid blocks, and now and then a many-windowed cupola arises to tell of days when the households of captains and ship-owners watched the sea.
From this tangle of material and spiritual putrescence the blasphemies of an hundred dialects assail the sky. Hordes of prowlers reel shouting and singing along the lanes and thoroughfares, occasional furtive hands suddenly extinguish lights and pull down curtains, and swarthy, sin-pitted faces disappear from windows when visitors pick their way through. Policemen despair of order or reform, and seek rather to erect barriers protecting the outside world from the contagion. The clang of the patrol is answered by a kind of spectral silence, and such prisoners as are taken are never communicative. Visible offences are as varied as the local dialects, and run the gamut from the smuggling of rum and prohibited aliens through diverse stages of lawlessness and obscure vice to murder and mutilation in their most abhorrent guises. That these visible affairs are not more frequent is not to the neighbourhood’s credit, unless the power of concealment be an art demanding credit. More people enter Red Hook than leave it—or at least, than leave it by the landward side—and those who are not loquacious are the likeliest to leave.

The disillusion had been gradual. Coming for the first time upon the town, I had seen it in the sunset from a bridge, majestic above its waters, its incredible peaks and pyramids rising flower-like and delicate from pools of violet mist to play with the flaming golden clouds and the first stars of evening. Then it had lighted up window by window above the shimmering tides where lanterns nodded and glided and deep horns bayed weird harmonies, and itself become a starry firmament of dream, redolent of faery music, and one with the marvels of Carcassonne and Samarcand and El Dorado and all glorious and half-fabulous cities. Shortly afterward I was taken through those antique ways so dear to my fancy—narrow, curving alleys and passages where rows of red Georgian brick blinked with small-paned dormers above pillared doorways that had looked on gilded sedans and panelled coaches—and in the first flush of realisation of these long-wished things I thought I had indeed achieved such treasures as would make me in time a poet.

But success and happiness were not to be. Garish daylight shewed only squalor and alienage and the noxious elephantiasis of climbing, spreading stone where the moon had hinted of loveliness and elder magic; and the throngs of people that seethed through the flume-like streets were squat, swarthy strangers with hardened faces and narrow eyes, shrewd strangers without dreams and without kinship to the scenes about them, who could never mean aught to a blue-eyed man of the old folk, with the love of fair green lanes and white New England village steeples in his heart.

The more I read him, the more I identify with him. I have friends in NYC, and lately I have had a growing disdain for that shithole, mainly because of the vermin who inhabit it. This might sound autistic, but I derided the average height of the people who live there (I'm 6'4"), implying that it's populated by the lessers described by Lovecraft above. It was so odd to read that someone else saw that city the same way, and especially so long ago.

If Null's going to nuke Kiwi Farms anyway he might as well go out in a blaze of glory interviewing people the Democrats hate in the run-up to an election where they're hell-bent on silencing anyone who tries to derail their narrative.

Basically a Kamikaze run against the DNC in an election year.

That fucking transcript.

Agitated black people are so goddamned annoying.

Like chattering babbons.
