I move to my semirural house at the end of the month. Clean air, country school for my child, an enormous back yard, and no bullshit. I may live in NZ but seeing the statue toppling shite in my own country and vandalism in my tiny and otherwise boring city convinced me that I want nothing to do with concrete jungles any longer. This thread was definitely a contributing factor in my decision. Thanks, Kiwis.

I would say buy a firearm and some ammunition but that's unfortunately impossible since NZ's government went full cuck. Glad to see the citizenry is still holding out though.
Stock up on provisions and consider installing some surveillance cameras, at least you'll know who's coming your way and where they're coming from.

I installed a few after the worst of the George Floyd 'unrest' and it's enabled me to be a whole lot less paranoid. Some signs saying "big fucking angry dog" or "if you have ill intent you will be shot" help keep the door-knockers and solicitors away, and I don't even have a dog. Dogs aren't a bad idea either though. If they won't outright go after an intruder, they'll at least let you know someone's malingering.

Detroit police fatally shoot man after he opens fire, DPD says
DETROIT (WXYZ) — A man with suspected ties to a Detroit gang was fatally shot by police after officers say he opened fire.

Police came to West McNichols and San Juan just after 12:30 this afternoon, investigating a shooting from a block party shooting over the July 4th weekend that left three dead and five injured. DPD believes the shooting was gang related.

While surveilling the area, officers say they saw a man with an outstanding narcotics warrant sitting in a vehicle. As they prepared to arrest him, another man began to approach officers and opened fire.

“He began to fire a number of rounds at the officer over his shoulder,” said Chief James Craig. “As that was occurring, the officer pushed him away, and that’s when the additional officers, fearing for their life, the fact that he was actively shooting, they fired several rounds striking that suspect.”

The suspect was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The man officers were initially trying to arrest was taken into custody without incident. Police have not released his name.

Officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, pending the results of an investigation.

The shooting comes as crime in Detroit continues to surge.

Criminal homicides are up 31% since last year, and non-fatal shootings have soared by 53%.

I can't believe that this is the world so many people wanted. You would think a few of them at least would recognize a world where everyone is always cowing you to speak only in approved phrases and never attempt to think will be a miserable existence.

I had someone earlier today saying how it would be acceptable to burn down the Statue of Liberty to save one life, and I still just can't grasp how overstated their sense of worth is. Yes, you are insignificant to all but your closest friends and relatives... and that's how it should be. The universe doesn't care about you, you aren't special or wonderful, you're just another animal living out its existence here. Your life, individually, won't matter, but cultural relics outlive and tell the story of their civilizations. That's where immortality lies.

We don't remember each Egyptian farmer schmuck living his schmuck life, but we remember the pyramids, the sphynx and their art. They live on through that. They want to invest everything in each cell, not caring if the body dies. They really are cancer.

Speaking of cancer, they want to destroy the cancer cells used for research from that one Black lady's culture since they view it as exploiting black bodies all these years later. Fuck science and progress. Only feels.

These protests are a joke. Don't want to get killed, don't shoot at cops. You have to be a complete moron not to figure that one out. Cops are expected to be heroic saints who should choose to die rather than shoot a criminal. Fuck that. You shoot at a cop, they have the right to shoot at you. Save the protests for the bad cops who don't follow the rules.
