Community Munchausen's by Internet (Malingerers, Munchies, Spoonies, etc) - Feigning Illnesses for Attention

I'm probably a little behind too, so spoilered in case this is old news/no1curr.

To the best of my understanding: one of the mods (/u/sadielovelylady) reached out to Jessi aka disablednotdefeated in order to teach her how to get higher off of her pain meds, despite the no poo-touching rule and this being an overall exceptional thing to do. Jessi discovered that her new pal was a mod on ifgw, called her out on instagram, and the screenshot got posted to the sub. Sadie then deleted that post "in her sleep," but re-approved it upon waking up because it was an accident guise!!! It's also worth mentioning that she had previously doxxed herself "on purpose" and revealed herself to be a zebra-print wearing EDSer with the stupid tape and all.

Despite the sub as a whole mocking Sadie for being an embarrassment and calling for her to step down, several of her mod pals dug their heels in and defended her for reasons I still do not understand. KFS was the only mod to publicly call her out, quelle surprise. Meanwhile Reddit's ToS have changed and they're apparently cracking down on "harassment" subs, so people are predicting the impending death of the sub.

No idea where all the mods went, though I don't blame them for abandoning ship. They post here though so maybe we'll find out.

Upon going to the Reddit and finding out they have a discord server. I think anyone who joins that server is a fucking retard.

It seems like a total clusterfuck of toxic people doxxing each other and a pissing contest over who can be the most toxic.

Almost like the pissing contest of "I am the sickest spoonie" but magnified 100x - theyre the worst kind.

I am honestly surprised that all of them claiming POTS on that subreddit haven't been cured by the amount of sodium they carry in their daily two faced bitch fest.

They also suspect everyone who isn't them to be a munchie all while feeling threatened if someone acknowledges their own illnesses. Very weird turn of events.

KF is much more anonymous. Discord can be linked to social media and if you're not that smart - everything is shown on your discord profile unless you update your settings to hide them

This is also something I've noticed. The original illnessfakers subreddit became a giant hugbox and the mods where the only ones allowed to blog and would ban anyone who invalidated their own experiences almost instantly. So much as using the word "I" in a sentence is enough to get some people banned there.

IF'S whole stance on "they have mental issues" "don't misgender them" and feeding into munchies bullshit and "approved subjects only" (of course to prevent theirselves and their munchie friends being posted there) is what moved a lot of people to IFGW.

I enjoyed IFGW while it lasted, but KF is forever.

Ah quilt, I can't help but find her adorable with her little posts about what she's knitting and how her granddaughter helps her with laundry. She's been mocked for months by regulars but things came to a head recently leading to her chimping out constantly.

I leave you with my all time favourite quilt moment. Somebody had posted a poorly written excerpt from Josie's Discovery (Amanda's self insert masturbatory sick fic) and commenters were mocking it.

OH SHIT I GOT IN. Not hiding, not avoiding. My mac's power supply blew and since all my stuff is saved either on that computer or on a mac-format external drive and I am the only mac user in the house, I have no way to access any of my files. Until I get it back from repair I have no content to offer.

Being outed as a mac user is much more embarrassing than some pearl-clutchers freaking out about my political leanings.

It's a mac so I'm anticipating the repair will force me to sell one of those kids the Redditors swear I have. It's really nice of them to let me know I have children I can sell on the black market in my time of need.
