Jonathan/Jessica Yaniv to be arrested for assaulting Rebel Media journalist

It's the age of COVID. He will be released with conditions of no contact with Bexte and no weapons. It's extremely rare for judges or Crown to demand psych eval. It's the defense who requests it, as a ploy to mitigate criminal responsibility. Once it hapens, Crown normally asks Judge for an independent 2nd opinion.

A pre-sentencing report including psyche evaluation was ordered at the last weapons hearing. We will never the results as they are never put into the record. It is rare to order a psyche eval for such a minor offence but his behaviour in court persuaded everyone that he needs one.

He will get mandatory counselling to deal with his borderline personality disorder. Nothing more. Unironically, that is exactly what he needs.

No jury in their right mind would convict a rètarded troon. Maybe Texas.

Trials by jury are very rare in Canada, and absolutely unheard of for this petty a crime. The crown will certainly be proceeding by Summary rather than by Indictment, so forget about a trial by jury.

And, again, he won't be sentenced to prison time. That too is monumentally rare for this level offense, even with his prior.

Farmers, please purge from your collective craniums all notions that Canada's justice system must be similar to American's because we are neighbours and both mostly speak English.

Assuming your source is right there might be too much selection bias in who ends up staying in county jail to read too much into it. In major metros the county jail is where people go when they can't post bond while awaiting trial and since homeless are the least likely to post bond you'd see more of them in the population at any one time. The fact that short sentences for misdemeanors are served in county jail also creates a bit of an imbalance, since most people can just pay the fines for those, but not the homeless. Several of those misdemeanors are crimes associated with homelessness induced by mental disorders (disorderly conduct, public nudity) and substance abuse (drug possession, open container laws), and just normal homelessness (begging, sleeping/sitting in public, vagrancy).
Yeah I'm aware how county jail works. My point is that there's a lot of homeless getting picked up on bullshit charges. Most often intentionally. Cops don't walk around running the information of hobos, they just ignore them. That means they're getting caught doing a thing. If you take the 60% statistic as fact, and then compare that to the county jail populations, you'll see an explosion that corresponds to things like violent cold snaps or heat waves.

The people that are physically doing the time in jail are low life nobody vagrants. This lends credence to the point that there is a type of person that actually wants to be in jail.

If Rebel Media's evidence and testimony helps convicts Yaniv of anything, I'll award them one point.

But only one.
Tbf, one of the reasons I've been less active in this subforum as of late is, apart from autistic side characters in the form of John Southern and, disappointingly, Anna Slatz, this subforum has been filled than ever of people punishing exactly what it is they want to see, in this case Yaniv being arrested, because it didn't come from the messenger they wanted. Ok, true, it's been happening for almost a year (since Blaire White crossed his path especially), but it's especially noticeable now.

I on the other hand am having another laugh at his being arrested yet again. It is slightly annoying no real progress has been made as far as courts and what not, but hey, at least we're getting some good lulz out of it.

His reaction with the obviously fake (as in not taken today) pics of Victoria is fascinating; especially after the long drought of tweets. I was reading some twitter comments and people were mentioning that you can schedule future tweets to be sent, so perhaps these tweets were automated. I don't think he's on the island even though the previous church picture was confirmed to be in Chemainus which isn't too far from Victoria. Instead I feel like he was hiding out at mothers for the night and they both went to the RCMP detachment today to turn Jonathan in. Given how much he hates WGKitty it's likely he'd avoid having his arrest recorded by them at all costs, hence why I doubt he'd give the RCMP an opportunity to pick him up at home if he could help it. He's always manipulating. There also isn't an RCMP detachment in Victoria, so he'd have to drive to a neighboring town to surrender himself (Langford being most likely).

Maybe @WGkitty could offer an update about the status of JY's car. We know it was missing yesterday so it would be interesting to know if it's back. I don't think he'd be detained by the RCMP for long, but there's always a shred of hope that he's sitting in some freezing cold holding cell sans shoelaces and belt.

edit: I'm going under the assumption that it was overcast in Victoria today hence the pictures being older... but I haven't personally confirmed this outside of reading some comments people have made. There was clear skies in some parts of the Provence today as it was sunny and warm in my neck of the woods.

I'm not saying Rebel Media doesn't deserve some credit if this goes through, and I haven't seen anybody else here take the opposite tact. To the contrary...

What you are seeing is snark. People pointing out this is one thing RM can do that would represent a net positive for the world. Provided they don't fuck it up.

It sure beats the shit out of Laura Loomer and her stupid tires. That was cringe. Just like a lot of stuff RM does.

I mean if you are compliant arrests aren't that dramatic. When it happened to me they just put on the cuffs and I just walked down with them to the car.

It's only dramatic if you resist

Totally agree. I imagine he's been sat at mother yaniv's, shaking with rage with Rebel Media's announcement and the ensuing celebratory Twitter comments and more importantly the fear of WGKitty reporting. The fact that he never misses a chance to snap himself is a giveaway, although the church "Covid heart" timing is an interesting comment (he's crap at Photoshop so can't see him Photoshopping himself into the pic). At the end of the day for all his bravado guff he's a total wimp at heart, so yeah he'll be with momma.

I don't know anything about Canadian provinces etc so Keean's tweet about him actually being arrested made me think that he was at home/mama's - more than happy to be educated on the RCMP province powers/reach etc.

I just post his wittering here so there's some sort of record re his inane shenanigans...I take everything he says or implies with a bucket of salt, I just enjoy taking the mickey out of fat boy.

"Bad news, sir. Yaniv somehow slipped past our dragnet. He's been posting tweets from Victoria. It's almost like he's taunting us."

"Dammit, how does he keep escaping from right under our noses. Are you sure he's not hiding out at his mother's place?"

"We have men stationed outside that address, sir. They've got the blinds drawn. As far as we can tell the only other occupant appears to be a life-size silhouette of Alfred Hitchcock wearing a tiara."

"Okay, get me Langley on the phone."

"Langley Virginia, Sir? Are you sure you don't mean Langford?"

"Langley dammit. On the double officer."

"Sir, if I can remind you again, you are Canadian. The CIA are unlikely to regard to the disappearance of Jonathan Yaniv as priority."

"Yes, yes of course."

"Shall I bring your horse round to the front, Sir?"

"Yes, and fetch me one of those Mountie uniforms that is a slightly darker shade of red. I have a feeling that this is going to be a stealth mission."

Posted at 5:11 AM and it's pitch black out.

You'd think with him being a BC resident his whole life he'd know that in BC, it's bright and sunny out as early as 3:45 AM in the summer.

What am I missing? He posted these pics after being processed. How is he 'on the run'?

I’m not exactly sure what he’s after; surely he knows that charges don’t go away just because you run away from the police?

I predict the scooter and brain tumour will be making reappearances soon

It should be noted that "county jails" are not a thing in Canada. We don't have " county jails"

additionally, in the whole world, from the US to Zimbabwe, there are offences that are prosecuted independently, whether somebody complains or not, offences that are prosecuted even if the victim says it was ok to do it and they agreed and offences that are only prosecuted (or not) if the victim complains.

Example of (1) and (2): bodily harm, you can't smash people up with a hammer even if they say please do it

Example (3): theft - if someone takes away your property nothing happens unless you say it was stolen, you might be glad that they took away something from you, maybe you always wanted to throw it away but it was too heavy.

I also think he won't go to prison to what he did, however by being the exceptional idiot he is, he risks a far longer "sentence" - if they find him so dangerous that he needs psychiatric treatment in a locked environment he will stay there until the doctors find him fit and that can last a very long uncertain time compared to a sentence with fixed time. Especially considering he will probably be "aggressive" in the hospital because he will complain about it and get written down as getting more psychotic and the doctor doesn't really want to risk somebody saying the patient that you said was ok is hitting people on the street.

I can see a doctor writing gender dysphoria as a diagnosis and saying it's so bad that he is psychotic. In the locked ward he might have his phone once in a while but no charging - no cables in there.

But then imho it's likely nothing much happens.

None of those pics are from yesterday. The skies were overcast most of the day and raining.
This picture is particularly damning, for the reasons listed below:
-it was warm and humid, no one would be wearing longsleeves and pants
-that area is filled with vendors in the summer
-flowers in the letters are different colours in summer
-even with covid that area is packed in the summer
-I believe that exhibit is over (yellow banners on Bateman gallery)
-and again, the weather is completely wrong.
