Makeup technology and application technique has advanced a lot over the years. This isn't really that shocking to me. I'm sure just about any girl here would back me on this claim.

I really don't GAF about the appearance of most cosplayers. It's the attitude that exists within the clique/cult that kinda shits the bed for me. It would be funny to make fun of if weren't so typical and ultimately boooooring. When 90% of them can be categorized as cows, are they really even cows anymore? If everybody is special, then nobody is.

There used to be a site called Cosplayfucks where these bullshit catfights were well documented. I think that site was at least as old as 4chan. It was certainly around when m00t was. That should give you some idea of how ancient this phenomenon is.

Shouldn't she be used to this already? Is there not enough recordings of Pridemore at a convention for her to see what she's like, and why her life is the way it is? Sure, feed enough alcohol to a man with equally serious self-esteem problems, and he'll fuck her, but can she truly not understand why he'd abandon ship as soon as his self-preservation instincts stopped being suppressed?

Couldn't agree more. I don't have pity for anyone, myself included, so I'm not going to feel bad for Todd. If the enormous red flags of where he met her and what she was doing at the time didn't clue him in, he got what he deserved.
