IRC chat?

So Ive noticed this with a lotta 3rd party imageboard chats like lainchan and 7chan where they have an ssl encrypted irc chat and was curious why Kiwi Farms doesnt have one. I've found them quite enjoyable

The unifying theme of every Kiwi Farm off-topic board/chat is complaining about shit and how it has gotten worse over years and how it will continue to get worse over time.

I don't see much benefit to running an IRC server beyond appealing to autistic boomers. You can chat on the website via onion, that's pretty secure. Matrix gives easy multimedia sharing functionality, plus E2EE, plus decentralized federation. There's even a Matrix plugin for WeeChat (though I really doubt how well maintained that is).
