Jonathan/Jessica Yaniv to be arrested for assaulting Rebel Media journalist

I do wonder why they're bringing charges at all. Of all the things Yaniv has done, I have to say attacking that hack reporter was the most based.

Maybe the cops hate him as much as we do, but can’t find actual criminality in any of the other creepy shit he’s done? I might be missing something but I don’t remember him previously doing anything against the law, at least openly.

I mean if you are compliant arrests aren't that dramatic. When it happened to me they just put on the cuffs and I just walked down with them to the car.

It's only dramatic if you resist

I bet you 100% Johnny knew the first names of his the arresting officers. He was probably in the back of cop car saying “ Hey I remember you. Weren't you the officer that came when I called 911 because my mother ate the last of the half and half?”
“oh! And you were the officer I called when someone on twitter called me a man!”

Yaniv is trolling with the tweets about being in Victoria today seemingly to avoid the police.

It's overcast and very gray across lower Vancouver island, no blue sky.

@WGkitty said (on twitter) that his car wasn't around yesterday, so he may not be at home, but he isn't in Victoria (unless he is using old pictures for no reason).

Could he seriously be out on bail, even though he was doing this ^^^ ? ( ie Attempting to evade police by pretending to be somewhere he's not) And is there some way of checking if he's being held in lockup or allowed to waddle free until court date?

I don't know Canadian law, but I think some of the women he messaged could collectively make a case of harassment/ sexual harassment, as clearly that is what it was.

Further to this, some of his comments relating to children - while not criminal in of themselves - indicate at least the desire to engage in illegal activity with children. I think he would have a hard time convincing a jury that teaching a 12 year old girl, who is a stranger to him, how to use a tampon in public toilets isn't due to some weird sexual fantasy. Plus, didn't he run a competition where he encouraged young girls to go topless or something insane?

I'm pretty sure he's an actual predator on some level, either that or this is the most retarded and self-destructive attempt at trolling ever - in which case he needs to be put in a fucking asylum before he can hurt himself any further.

Nope, none of any of that is criminal. Someone can tell you they want to murder people/fuck a goat/burn a school and it’s not a crime. All his creepiness about tampons and underage girls is legal unless he actually does it. Harassment? It depends how long he keeps contacting them after they say something like “go away and I’m serious, this is harassment”. It’s not in a workplace or anything, so the threshold is pretty high.
I reckon the cops are just glad to have something to charge the creep with at last.

That's why I said saying it wasn't a crime in of itself.

In relation to the women, I think he likely would be guilty of this if all messages were leaked. Added to that he had the whole frivolous lawsuit of women for wanting them to touch his dick. With enough evidence of repeated behaviour, I don't think it would be too difficult to establish that this was done intentionally to cause an adverse reaction. The police likely lack enough evidence to get a search warrant so I doubt this will happen.

It's probably the second time the cops fought over who got to go on the call (the first being the first arrest) instead of drawing straws on who had to go on the call on all the other times he was being a nuisance. #CopsWinning

He just changed his last name to Simpson on Twatter, so if he's not actually evading police, he's doing his best to give the impression that he is. Not sure what the point would be if it was the latter, though.

Attention, same reason the Lardy Lady-LARPer does anything. He's like a naughty kid that doesn't understand the difference between positive and negative attention.

I know he’ll get off with a slap in the wrists, but it would be hilarious is he was sent to a women’s wing filled entirely with post menopausal native ladies.
Good to see LR tweeting again, I've missed them.

Anyway it seems all is quiet atm - not sure if I'm disappointed or if I'm tempting fate here.

And even funnier if we can have a deathfat crossover.

Good luck with that. Unless they transfer him to another province he's not going to prison. B.C prison are way over capacity because of the opioid insanity in that province and not to mention Covid-19. Fat boy's gonna get probation or house arrest.
They might monitor his internet usage if he gets probation. Also I like the like to comment ratio on his tweets. Nigga is reviled even when he posts a blurry shot of a hotel.

I don't know about curtailing internet usage in this case. That is usually only used in circumstances that warrant it and usually a crime related to the internet like child pr0n, internet child luring, internet stalking, etc. The alleged crime here is hitting another moron.

say anything against liberal SJW orthodoxy though and theres a good chance you will see consequences, either criminally, through civil suit or via Human Rights Tribunal BS.

a few years ago there was a guy in Toronto who retweeted some feminists and disagreed with them and they went after him aggressively in court saying he was a harasser. he was ultimately vindicated but he was banned from using internet or computers for 2 fucking years while the case was pending. I forget if he was able to recover fees but theres a good chance he wasn't.

canada is terminally pozzed, although its not quite England level yet. best thing for us is to put us down

They'll probably just take away his government issued benefit money.

Donald Smith from this saga has essentially been banned from using the internet. He's pretty much restricted to only using Facebook for contacting family members.

Yeah, that was radical feminist Stephanie Guthrie and a few of her cohorts against Greg Elliott. He was charged with online criminal harassment and then when all was said and done the courts dropped all the charges. And yes while awaiting trial he was banned from social media. That ban was because the charges against him were mostly related to the internet although Stephanie tried to make a case against him criminally harassing her in real life.

This thread is brutal. I swear people believe they can have a predictive understanding of a nation's legal system because they've seen reruns of Law and Order, and they watch Scared Straight on A&E or something.

So once again:

-He will almost certainly get nothing more than community service, a fine, and probation. Possibly a peace bond. There is a bazillion case references to support this. So fuck off with the conjecture about jail. You can literally google this shit.

-He will not be put in a psych ward. That's is rare in Canada unless he pleads not criminally responsible due to a psychiatric condition. He will not do this because he is not going to face jail time. As for being committed outside of this criminal issue? Not going to happen. Even if he was full on suicidal and threatening people, he wouldn't be put in a psychiatric institute for a protracted period of time. Canada is NOT America.

-For the second time, he will not be facing a trial by jury. Those trials are very rare in Canada and they do not happen for a summary assault charge. Canada is NOT America, so fuck off with the Jury idea. Purge that sperg from your brain. Don't even type it. He will not be going before a jury.

Since we are here: Forget the concept of a big police takedown arrest with lots of oomph. From my read, he was already arrested. Here's how it goes down in Canada. He would be told he is under arrest. He would politely be asked to come with the police. He would politely be explained his rights. He would be fingerprinted and given a notice to appear. He would he be released on his own recognizance and the asked if he needed a taxi home, or would like a bus ticket. That's it. So fucking dull an event that even the cops get bored.

That's it folks. No drama. No big moment for spergy shadenfreud for you.

Now we wait for his first appearance. He can plead guilty, not guilty, or reserve his plea. Basically thats where he asks for more time to find council and consider his options.

There will then be a trial by judge if he pleads not guilty, or if he pleads guilty there will be a sentencing hearing.

That's it. That's fucking all.

Now someone asked if he can be pardoned. No, not really. Canada is not the USA. He could file for a suspension of his criminal records after he's served all conditions of all his sentences (weapons charge and any other charges) but it isn't a pardon. It just means he is removed from the criminal database (though the full record is completely restored if he fucks up again). It takes years to do that..... and yeah, technically he could be pardoned by Royal Perogative... that's where the Queen (who ultimatley is the Crown) declares him pardoned, but that doesn't happen. Not like your US president pardoning people. Again, Canada isn't the USA.

Now quit using this arrest and this thread for your bizarre assed LARPing of your TV crime drama fantasies lol.

Go on, go use Google for 10 minutes to learn just how fucking mundane Canadian law is for criminal summary assault charges..

Peace
