You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

Whenever I read something aloud and a friend interrupts me with "I know how to read". I know that, but can I atleast save you the trouble this time around? I understand if you don't want me to read it out loud, but a simple "It's ok I can read it" or something similar wouldn't hurt.

The sudden influx of "capitalism bad, Communism/Socialism good". I don't know where people are getting this from, but a family member of mine was even going on about how "Socialism is the combination of both Capitalism and Communism" and that annoyed me to no end.

It you have the means to do so, you can look into getting the battery replaced. Lithium batteries degenerate after a while. It’s cheaper to replace the battery than it is to buy a new phone.

Well, as things turned out, it was a good thing I paid for the extended warranty in this case as I am getting a replacement. With just a few days left before the warranty expired. Talk about being fucking lucky in that respect.

I tried to wear a mask while on a run and just couldn't deal with it. The looser masks slip down my face and the tighter ones make it too hard to breathe. I could just avoid people as much as possible but there are swarms of tourists everywhere. Most of them are coming from an inland area that has the largest case count in the state, and most people aren't wearing masks.

Working in finance (hope I'm not power-leveling here), I've discovered old people can be absolute pricks about their money.

I can not express how much I hate modern day marketing, it's the most insidious thing that tries it's best to come off as harmless. They all want to be a lifestyle brand, you should want to sleep, eat, breathe, and wear X brand and they try to sell it as giving people meaning but it's all about getting whales that buy everything your company craps. It's why they always try to jump on hot button topics, they want to appear like they aren't a soulless mega corporation that's soul purpose is to drain you of every penny you have.

It's so much worse when they try to get into politics, Oh man you gave BLM a couple mill that would of done far better as bonuses to your employees. Gee thanks Mega corp are you going to start getting our product from a factory that didn't have to install scuicide nets, no, okay. OH WOW! sportsball man says he was discriminated against while driving 90 down a 30 MPH public road. Man I sure do feel bad about that, I mean sure the nigger makes more money in a year than I will in ten and he spends 9/10 games on the bench but he sure has a hard life. I mean maybe he'll even talk about how poorly our kind is treated in china, oh what's that, we can't talk about how the chinese see us as literal animals... ok that's fine I guess.

Also while I'm on a tangent about athletes bitching about nothing, there has been this image going around comparing the NFL draft to slave markets and I personally want to wring every mother fucker that tries to use it as proof that nothing has changed. No in the slave market someone else got some money for the slave in the NFL draft the mother fucker being measured gets hundreds of thousands per season if not millions. One is a human being sold the other is a human selling themselves.

People who never bother to learn about how their tech works or even have the ability to figure stuff out by simply going into the Settings option for the device. I'm specifically thinking about smartphones. I managed to avoid ever owning one until a few months ago and I can't count how many people (almost all women) I've had to help with basic things regarding their phones (especially iPhones which are even more idiot proof than Android ones) over the years. These same people have apps for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and a dozen other things that they use 10 hours a day, 7 days per week, but they don't know how to turn their Bluetooth off or change the setting that dictates how long it'll take for their screen to shut off.

Don't even get me started on people with their computers either. It bewilders me that these same people have managed to attain drivers licences and aren't routinely getting into accidents.

Pisses me off too. Like it could have been used by a nurse or doctor, someone who actually need it - not so you can walk your rat dog with your nose uncovered.
