Remember Britney Spears?

A bunch of social activists seem to and they've made it their mission to free Britney from the shackles of her evil family. The campaign started about a year ago when Britney was admitted to a mental hospital after driving to an In-N-Out with her boyfriend, allegedly against her will. Over the last couple of days it has gained a bit more traction, with a recent post by a fashion world Instagram account Diet_prada going semi viral and being shared by big-time influencers like Emily Ratajkowski.

The general points of that post are:
  • Britney was groomed into changing her voice from something that sounded similar to Christina Aguilera to what we know, because they both had debut albums coming out at the same time.
  • Songs like 'Overprotected', 'My Prerogative', 'Gimme More' are subtle cries for help that she's being controlled by someone else.
  • After the famous 2007 meltdown, her dad obtained a temporary conservatorship over her (My understanding is that this means he is her legal guardian, as if she was a child, and is used for people who are severely disabled or mentally ill).
  • Despite the meltdown, she got back to work very quickly, and that is strange.
  • A year later, her dad got a permanent conservatorship due to 'early onset dementia' (Bearing in mind she's in her twenties at this point).
  • She is only allowed to use Instagram, her every move is monitored by her estate and she is a prisoner in her own muti-million dollar home.
It's recently been picked up by the MSM, with an article in the Evening Standard.
There's also a reddit, because of course there is.
And a twitter hashtag which is currently trending.

As conspiracy theories go, this one is a bit different to the standard 'autistic 5G masks cause vaccines' bullshit, so I thought it might be worth a look. Brit's social media seems pretty standard-tier weirdo posting; in videos she comes off as a bit manic, talking really quickly and constantly swaying. I'm not a mental health expert, but she seems a bit 'off' to me.

I don't see any archives of the links you shared in the op and also your OP needs more content.

I archived the post from Diet Prada and the Evening Standard article, they're in the spoilered links section. As for content, I'll have to have more of a look. I only just stumbled across this and thought I'd make a thread.

This is pretty big in the LGBT circles, but thats about it.
Should probably have posted this in proving grounds first my dude.

Threads like this are supposed to be about the community. Show some more of the nutsos. Do some digging on the people who believe it. There might be even more insane shit they are a part of.
