Someone else did the work for me. Its okay.

They thought they could bait Trump into going full dictator by invoking the Insurrection Act. And like everything the left does to try and get one over on Orange Man, it blew up in their faces. Probably even worse since now Trump and the GOP has tons of footage to use for their political ads for the next few years, pissed of a ton their voting base, redpilled a ton of people, and made people buy more guns.

Yeah, I'll fully admit that "defund the police" is a stupid slogan and basically a gift-wrapped package for the GOP.

So anybody have any idea why the administration is pushing to open up schools soon? If not, it's dumb as hell and completely antithetical to trumps previous school policies, I.E. school of choice and more home schooling. It just doesn't make any sense right now is the perfect time to argue against public schools and encourage students to start being home schooled. The argument would be simple, it's safer and the kid can go to the school of their choice without needing to worry about transportation.

Combine this with the "Try something different" Campaign coming out while most states are slowing down if not reversing opening up and it feels like whoever is running his campaign wants to bomb the re-election.

Honestly, I think it's a political move to try and get economic numbers up right before the election. It could certainly backfire—we know the media will be frothing at the bit to report every case of a child getting covid—but it would open up more parents to go back to work, and hence get some economic numbers up in the 2 month period before the election. I do think it's calculated, but I also understand, unlike the raging leftists with no jobs, that people can't just sit at home for 9 months while the government tells them not to work, not to make payments on mortgages and rent, etc. While encouraging homeschooling is good in a grander sense, I don't think it's quite as easy as saying all kids ought to be homeschooled now. Certainly, the government could actually try to encourage an education system with more homeschooling through economic benefits, but that really requires Congress and individual states to act—not Trump. I guess that's how you know these liberal governments (like NY) care more about the school industry and the teachers' unions than they do about the children—they'll rage about "Trump sending kids back to school!" but won't provide any incentive for parents who want to provide a home-based education, even if it's only in the short term.

Doubling down on COVID-19 being a nothingburger. That's just literally the mindset and they're running with it.

If they want to open up schools, federal funds could be used to provide PPE to staff members. That'd make them safer returning to work. Alternatively, the government could say it's okay for parents to keep their kids home and then push local school districts to provide learning resources to students who are homeschooling-but-still-technically-enrolled. Or we could use a hybrid online/in-school model.

School is important for kids and there are a lot of good options here but we've gone full steam ahead into idiocy.

Picking Biden of all fucking people to run just makes me unreasonably angry. The DNC is so smug and stupid that they can't push through a competent candidate that they will prop up a literal corpse who can barely remember who he is and what he is doing while shoving all of their talking points onto his "platform". It might be the grossest thing I have ever seen in politics.

Trump talks too much but I believe more often than not that he is the one talking. Especially on Twitter. All the riots and pet causes the dems have tried to pull over the last 4 years have fallen flat on their face so hard that people are desensitized to them. Trump winning in 2016 really woke me up to how fucked up the system and media are and how in bed they are with corporations and big government.

I hope he pulls through in 2020 even if the odds are stacked against him. Republicans are inept but Democrats are flat out evil.

How many people are going to be fucked into the ground in a month or two if they suddenly need to find childcare for kids that would normally be in school? How many families can suddenly have an adult stay home and homeschool their kids?

Honestly, the DNC went with Biden for two reasons...

1. To provide a backdoor for Kamala Harris (or whichever DNC bigwig will be the VP pick) into the White House in case Biden wins

2. Biden will likely do the least downballot damage if he loses to Trump

I dont want to see Harris as Vice President. She will be there behind Biden next to the House Speaker and interrupt his SOTU by standing up and interjecting "That little Girl was me!" when Biden accidentally talks about the roaches.

Harris is a hateful idiot who got shut down good in opening debates. She would be disastrous as a President. None of the VP picks them dems have lined up are worth a shit due to "muh diversity " and towing the party line.

oh theyre not smug about biden in particular they see him as a weak candidate, if you followed some Dem primary discussions it was filled with different sects who hated each other and a bunch of weak candidates. They just picked the one who seemed less likely to cock it up and had at least a former vp term to his name or they were one of the cliques who dragged better candidates down for not being close enough to their own personal beliefs. The thing that made me a bit angry was Warren fans trumpeting biden despite being so pro metoo all because some bernie fans called them wine aunts and other cliques cancelling each other for made up reasons to mask personal gripes

lol almost 40 percent of voters think know biden has dementia :story: https://www.rasmussenreports.com/pu...on_2020/38_of_voters_think_biden_has_dementia

Does that really do anything, or mean anything? Trump would still win, even if they were that buttmad, right?
It would mean they officially declare Trump cheated to win and refuse to recognize him. The difference between now and this scenario is the press still begrudgingly recognize him as POTUS, if he wins the media will recognize Joe Biden as the legitimate president and Trump is in the same league as Maduro. It would be the death of political legitimacy in the United States.

Because we need to return to normalcy. The left only want to keep shit shut down to further their future plans and to keep the economy in shambles. Private and charter schools are cool and they're being advertised. Home Schooling is pretty much non-existance for most families since a lot of them have both parents working fulltime. In households where Mom or Dad stays home to care for the kids and home, its much better. Or rich people can just hire tutors.

What is the Too Long; Didn't Beanie?
Places are getting sent voting info for people who don't live there. People are getting multiple ballots. Voter fraud is happening everywhere. A cat got sent a ballot or voter info or some shit. Just watch the first 2-3 minutes.

oh no, not a rasmussen push poll! we're doomed

The sitting president bragged about acing the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. I hope the debates devolve into them both challenging each other to name animals and draw clocks.

Okay, let's analyze this sentence.

By "doubling down" on "it being a nothingburger", you're implying there's been new evidence proving the contrary. What actual fucking evidence do we have that it's not a nothingburger? I'm genuinely trying to understand how the actual fuck you managed to unironically write such a sentence in July 2020 of all times.
