Call me ignant, but are there White kids who are out doing this sort of stuff? At least at anywhere near the rate to make it valid to say "whitey gets off easy when he's gangbeating a woman... and her kid"? I've spent a good amount of time around the White Devils and I've never encountered these

Little trip down memory lane, bear with me.I remember growing up there was a big focus on teaching the Golden rule of "Do onto others the way you want to be treated" but it seems nowadays many people have forgotten that.One of my major problems with Twitter is how toxic much of the userbase is towards each other for no good reason and how it seems to influence peoples attitudes towards each other in real life.
I never grew up watching Mr. Rogers but I honestly wish more people took some of his lessons to heart, watching some of his stuff nowadays always gets rid of the negative emotions/thoughts. Just replace CNN with 24/7 rebroadcasts of Mr. Rogers program because it would be a far better replacement for their garbage programs.

I didn't exactly have the best childhood. But I did have a TV and cable. Vaguely, I remember watching a couple Mr. Rogers episodes on TV. His feel good attitude, compassion and love for children made me feel a bit better. He loved everybody, his viewers, no matter what. I wanted to meet this man, not knowing that they were reruns and he was gone long after I was born.
Simple messaging like this can do wonders for a person. A sense of escapism to say. We need more influences like Mr. Rogers. I know it's TV, but for some, that's all they have.

We had a couple of youth high-security schools that young offenders were sent to. They were out there in other counties, far away from Milwaukee, where most of this miscreants were brought up. ALL black kids there. BUT we must shut them down! Cruel! Why? Too far away from their support systems. Bitch, if these thugs had a "support system" they wouldn't be where they are right now. At least the two communities where these animals were housed are probably breathing a sigh of relief even without the jobs that come with those facilities.
More often than not their family actually condones, if not participates in, their kid's crimes. I could cite numerous occasions of moms not turning in their criminal sons, actually picking them up in front of the courthouse after the son cuts off their GPS monitors, etc.
Their wiring is just different. You can't expect normal behavior or thinking from a high number of these people. They're broken. Trauma, my ass. They're born to be paychecks in a long line of paychecks, and expendable past age 18 as the new crop comes up.

Yep. At the last chimpout before Trump won in 2015, I was quite terrified of people being pulled from their cars and beaten. I went out in Oct 2015 to my first gun show and got some "protection". I kept putting off getting my concealed handgun licenses until the Sutherland Springs church shooting nearly two years later, but I went and took the classes in Dec 2017. I don't feel nearly as terrified watching the chimpouts now, but I'm still pretty sad about it.
A few weeks after continued protests in MN, both my wife and I felt really weird going out in public. We've mostly been self isolating because of covid since March 15th, rarely leave the house. But we both agreed we feel really weird when we see black people now. Like we are both really aware of people's color now, we never really cared before. We have conflicting emotions of whether or not to just tell them "Sorry you feel this way" (note I would never put their problems on to me, as in "sorry for what my great great great great great grandfather *might* have done"), or just to flat out flee the area. Either way, don't feel safe.

The more I think about it the more I don't understand the rioters going to Iowa, unless maybe they're on their way to somewhere else. Are they bringing stuff to burn with them, because Iowa doesn't really have much. Even the crops are kinda sparse this year because of weather being shitty. If they trash out Wall Drug first then the rest of the night will be boring as fuck.

Trump's election was when the mask finally fell off. The media has been garbage will before anyone on this planet was born. Even Ulysses S. Grant noted how garbage the media is, well, using the nicer sounding words of his day.
All of this witchcraft stuff is a great way to get attention and feel like they're doing something without having to really do anything. They don't have to get in harm's way.
To be fair, those two things are linked .
Black officers are more often the ones to bust some heads without fear of reprisal, so they might be the best candidates for the job.
