Anyone have thoughts on Trump's unexpected positions on DACA and immigration lately?
Hes admitted even he feels hes going to lose this time around and is now doing a dumbass quick version of trying to leave a legacy/hes tripling down on trying to get the nom-white vote.

Trump's advisers probably already told him vote by mail will fuck him and we all saw how bidens IQ doubled once the debates became closed set instead of a live public event. But this election seems like the dems got extremely lucky this time around by accident, and just realized they will win so ever since april they're been scrambling to find actual competent people to fill bidens cabinet. The dems are usually pretty good at announcing VPs early, so the fact that we still dont know who it is yet should tell you something.

Maybe its because im only following people that constantly attack trump from the right and have been saying the gop should drop dead the last decade, but thats the take ive seen.

Im just impressed at how little self-preservation he has, his family and advisors all have to know hes fucked once he leaves office. Regardless of if the earn it act passes or not, if biden wins then come February the online presence for the trump organization and name will be as insignificant as mike enouchs, which is rather bad when trump needs people at his hotels and golf courses. And this time around he cant just declare bankruptcy either, he only got DSP level of good shakes because it was the bankers usually didnt know who he was. He didnt really get a bad reputation until 2010.

And Melania could theoretically take him to the cleaners if she divorces him post-presidency, it would basically reverse the media's opinion of her which would help her son who has a legitimate shot of being a pro-soccer player. Plus whatever reputation trump has in the party regardless of victory or loss will be chipped away so that come 2024 his kid will be a laughingstock when they run for the gop primary.

Trump already has lost half his networth since becoming president and every tech company has said the only reason they dont fuck him harder is because hes literally the president, imagine how hard its going to be to book a room at his hotel once you cant find it on any hotel booking site and you cant find it on any search engine besides duckduckgo and the only isp willing to host trump brands is run by joshua moon.

Plus the last 5 years trump has shown a comedic ability to only hire people who will stab him in the back, so the only people who are going to apply to work for him are people who want to rob him blind.

Regardless of who wins trumps fucked and will be legitimately broke come 2028, just the state of new york and new york city will fuck him until he has to abandon most of his assets. He was already complaining about the government fucking with him in the 2010s, now they'll have a bigger reason to fuck with him beyond "he sometimes says bad things on twitter"

And the worst part is none of this should be a surprise, lots of people on the far-right or alt-light used it as a way to reason why trump will be forced to be good back in 2015. Trump basically needed to be an amazing president so that come post-presidency he wouldnt be fucked into the dirt.

You cant really come back from saying "some Mexicans are rapists, thieves, and murders" unless you can convince the rest of the world thats an appropriate thing to say. And instead even hes admitting failure.

Tl;dr Trump is the GOP's Jimmy carter, a false hope of restoring the old good values of the party from 30 years ago, and it will be 20 years of adopting the other parties policies before they can win a two party election. So i hope you're all ready for the 2040s when tranny storybook time is seen as normal as integration seemed in the 2000s. All the most radical leftist-takes of 2019 will be normal and unquestionable in 2040.

Pardone moi, but what happened? I tried searching it up, but it was the usual fluff pieces from the stock news channels.

The latino community is mad at who? How?

The MSM tries to downplay this, but BLM started targeting Latino neighborhoods alongside the usual White and Asian targets and at the height of the insanity in June, the Latin Kings in Chicago were violently attacking BLM rioters to defend their neighborhoods

What reality do you live in?

Anyone have thoughts on Trump's unexpected positions on DACA and immigration lately?

I'm confident they've gotten rid of the people they wanted to. America was built on immigration, and opening more pathways for legal immigration isn't a bad thing. Others have already commented on it, but this opens the door for Hong Kong residents who don't want to move to the UK. The writing is on the wall, those people NEED to be able to get out.

Foreign students are paying college tuition, and after the damage wrought by the Corona hoax, any money being spent in America is good. These students not only pay for their education, but their lodging, food, transportation, and whatever consumable commodities they spend their leisure time on.

Amnesty for DACA kids really isn't such a bad thing. The anchor babies had no choice in being used to facilitate someone else's crime, and as I said above I'm sure ICE got most or all of the ones they wanted to remove. This also paves the way for ending DACA. Trump was shit-canned by SCOTUS the first time he tried to shut it down. By extending the olive branch that those in the US already can stay, it creates a narrative that people should cooperate with him to stop more children from being exploited.

Also, and more importantly, amnesty for DACA kids as "something I'll do in the future" takes it away from the Democrats as an election promise. Admittedly I'm not particularly informed on the matter, but as it stands at the moment, the "Deferred Action" is still "just" deferred, meaning someone else can come along and push those people out of the US at some later date. He's said he wants to do it, but did he give a firm date for when he'd sign that into law?

This is also more chess. When he introduces that legislation, what will the Dems in Congress do? If they vote yes, they're working with Bad Orange Man. If they vote no, they don't stand with immigrants like they claim to.

I particularly like Canada’s point system

It sounds great on paper, but it only applies to White European immigrants or American spouses. Everyone else comes in as "refugees". And remember, $10K CDN is like $6 USD, which isn't really that much.

Amnesty to own da libs sounds fucking terrible. In an era where unemployment is high, each new immigrant fucks his working class base over that much harder. We’re not in a position to accept a single immigrant at this point. We need to deport the 25+ million illegals, not bring in more.

Agreed. No amnesty for illegals.

At most, I can accept keeping the "dreamers" who came to this country as small children since they're more or less raised in America anyway and shouldn't have to pay for their parents' own screw-ups.

That being said, teenagers who are minors but willingly chose to enter illegally should be also deported. Regardless of what part of the world they came from.

Legal immigrants, I'm way more lenient towards since they put in the hard work to come here the legal way, with all the hoop-jumping that entails and they're more likely to have some sort of skill or trade of some sort that makes them more likely to be a productive member of the American middle class.

From what I can tell, I think this is less of a case of Jared and Ivanka trying to undercut Trump because the Kushner family owns stock in AstroTurf factories and more of a case of Trump trying to tackle some quarantine loopholes and a lot of his pro-immigrant promises are now specifically targeted at the ones here on legal visas. The DACA stuff seems to be more along the lines of a campaign promise to preemptively mitigate Democrat fuckery.

Even if he can't win over the Latino vote with this DACA deferment, it can definitely go a long way in convincing a large chunk of those voters into staying home and not voting for Biden, doubly so if Biden picks Kamala as his VP

Honestly, I hope he's lying through his teeth and is only saying that because it's politically expedient. Or that he's just A/B testing policies, which I think he's done before.

Obviously, if he is, he can't say that out loud. So all I can do is grimace, hope for the best and trust his instincts and judgment. He's got to walk a political tightrope and he's earned my trust so I'm willing to give him some leeway to work.

I try to not let myself fall into the situations that Dem voters often put themselves into, demanding the temporary satisfaction of hearing their politicians say things they want to hear, even if saying those things makes it far less likely they will get elected and implement even some of those things. A lot of Dem voters would like to hear Biden explicitly say he supports pulling down statues, abolishing police and paying reparations. But if he says all those things he's not getting into office and they won't even get a reduction in police funding.

It's counterproductive for them and it would be counterproductive for us to demand Trump go out on a limb and make pronouncements that would make the base extremely happy, but hamstring him politically. So all we can do is sit back and watch it unfold. It's very unsatisfying as a supporter but that's the nature of politics. It is what it is.

Regardless of what the true state of COVID-19 is, it is pretty obvious that lockdowns/precautions will be kept in place at least until the election, and any chance of getting a clear read on what the real status of the pandemic is will be hopelessly obfuscated- because it is needed too much as a political talking point, and the DNC needs to be able to weaponize it to continue to distract people from the fact that they maneuvered themselves into nominating the propped up corpse of Bernie Lomax.

The idea that the masses, who voted for Trump in 2016, would somehow side with the Democrats this time by voting for Biden, cannot be evaluated otherwise than a nonsense. The political and moral model of the Republicans is unprincipled and headstrong, as long as Americans have their constitutional freedoms, Biden's chance of winning the election will be limited to getting just a little bit more popular votes than Trump at best.

Can't wait for the return of those ads with celebrities begging for states to overturn the will of the people.

Immigration is generally an issue because the overwhelming majority of immigrants are from left leaning countries in Latin America and Asia. Mexico elected a socialist in 2018 and the country has gone to the dogs even more since. I would absolutely expect those people to do the same once having crossed the border. India was socialist until the 1990s too, though that's changing very rapidly now with Modi's shift to more conservative politics so the Indian vote might shift a bit. As for mainland China, a lot of them might as well be spies.

The exceptions to this are the Cubans, who are running away from communism and thus hate it. I don't mind them but other immigrant groups are bad news for the reasons I stated above.

One myth I'd want to dispel though is that the USA will ever have much of a Muslim community. They're not even 1% of the population and barely any immigrants coming in from Latin America or Asia are Muslim. Maybe a few Indians but they're mostly Hindu. Western Europe is a different story of course.

The DACA kids already in the US have done all the damage they can do. This isn't amnesty for new arrivals.

Won't their kids be American citizens?

If so, then no, they haven't done all the damage they can do. Deport them now before they can have kids.

The DACA kids are already integrated into US society. Their kids will be normal Americans expecting American wages, not some illegal border jumper willing to work for $5/hr under the table.

Considering the recent "blue tide" across all of Latin America, that might change rather quickly.

A lot of Latinos don’t like illegals either. They’re not a monolithic group.

I heard today that 28 million Americans could be evicted when they loosen the eviction moratorium. Thoughts on how that would effect the election? No way are all those people Democrats.

Notably not including Mexico though. We'll see what their 2024 election is like (especially since their presidents are term limited to 6 years) but currently they're under socialist leadership. Relatively few immigrants to the USA come from countries like Brazil or Chile.
