Someone should just create an actual YanSim demo in 2 weeks with no fanfare and THEN post it. Doesn't even have to be good, just better than Alex's. That way you haven't gotten his attention first and can have a somewhat complete demo people can actually fucking play.
“And miss out on the easy asspats from cobbling together a basic trailer highlighting simple features and mechanics in a day? Hell no, I want my praise NOW!” -Alex and every YanSim modder, probably

I'm still looking for the actual evidence of attempted suicide. I don't see anything in those discord pictures that state he's going to off himself.
Because the link from the front page goes to the wrong set of images. It's hard to navigate this thread, I know, but damn, that's misleading.

Here are the right ones.

>"Don't you see how harmful and damaging this is for me?"
Absolutely pathetic, LoveSick devs are not Eva's keepers. The guy is 32 and blaming a game's progress for ruining his life? He's been an adult male for 14 years in the free-est country on earth, and not once has he taken responsibility for himself. Even now he's trying to say his life is in the hands of random game developers on the net; and that's what really irks me, because this is a great time for some introspection and to realise he needs to get his act together or these people are gonna outdo him, but instead of bettering himself to be better than the 'competition' he just asks the 'competition' to quit! Always taking the easy way out, but that's why he has a page on this site.

What a manipulative twatwaffle. This is a child of a generation that had everything handed to them on a silver platter with no consequences. This outcome is what happens when everyone is told they are special and wonderful when in reality they are shit awful.

No wonder the zoomers hate their parents as their parents can't even afford to give them the shit they had cause now they are mommy/daddy (or mommy+bf and daddy) and no one is there to take care of the Parents.

Yandere Simulator can't be made in two weeks, don't be retarded. You can definitely make something serviceable in Unity in two weeks, but the entirety of YandereSimulator will definitely take more than two weeks. A YanSim project would need to make:
  • A school map.
  • A time system.
  • An inventory/equipment system for that player. This would likely mean implementing a state machine for the player as well as defining functionality for weapons.
  • AI that moves from one place to another based on the time system. This would mean implementing a pathfinding algorithm. If you want to have the AI avoid one another, you'll need to tweak that behavior yourself.
  • The ability to dynamically pause/resume that basic AI in order for them to talk/engage in events. This would mean coming up with a framework for the AI as well as determining how they ought to notice 'events' such as blood. Some of this would be easy, for instance, when the player presses x within some distance, pause the AI, then resume once dialogue is over. Then you have to tackle edge cases like certain events that should pause AI indefinitely such as witnessing murder.
  • The ability to switch out AI behavior based on groups, personalities, etc. This should also occur when an event is witnessed.
Not to mention all of the trivial stuff that glues this together, accounting for edge cases, the UI stuff and all the superfluous features like having stats as well as implementing those stats. Even with that said, you'd need to implement other features like the phone, mopping up blood, blood splattered clothes, changing clothes, etc etc. I don't know much of Unity, and I'm sure there are expedient ways to do a few of these things but two weeks is not a reasonable timeframe.

If you manage to get something reminiscent of YanSim in two weeks, chances are, you're just doing things quick and dirty and you'll have all the problems Alex has. I don't understand why r/Osana and other YanSim haters are so desperate to believe six years of bad work can be done in two weeks of good work, instead of just laughing at six years of bad work.

So with this we can confirm that Alex has gone from "jealously guarding his game", to "jealously guarding the entire concept of the game so nobody else is allowed to make one". But that's not how game development works; Alex doesn't get the monopolise the concept of a game just because he was the first to make a game with it - Copyright does not extend to the idea of a game, or how it's played. This very simple fact is why there's so many goddamn Battle Royales saturating the market right now. Did he conveniently forget that he himself has admitted that Yandere Simulator is an arsebaby of Persona and Hitman, based around an anime trope? His individual concepts are not unique either, so he has no legal right to force other projects to close down based on them copying his concepts. He had a case with Lovesick regarding the assets, but he dropped that within a day.
This seems to be a thing with lolcows. There was another (I want to say Jake Ally but I could be wrong) who made a card game about red shirts and spent 7 years sitting on it, and went nuclear when another game about red shirts was announced.

If Kiwi Farms existed in the 90s, there'd probably be a thread on Tim Langdell (the guy who tried to trademark the word "edge").

Interesting, albeit mono paragraph, rant here from someone he's clearly pissed off

I'm not going to talk about all of them, just the few I have highlighted. I've been quietly(mostly) following this whole situation with YanDev for a while, and it's been a pretty nuts ride the whole way. I started as a person who defended him from the so-called gremlins, until I became a so-called gremlins myself. I now agree that Alex is a whiny man-child who has zero impulse control and some serious mental issues. And I say that as someone with serious mental issues myself. 1) "I don't I have a future any more." Ok, Alex, I'm sorry, but you have a future. As ling as you're alive and all that, you've got a future. Whether that's as a game developer, I'm not qualified to say. You're being melodramatic, and even if you weren't, you made your own bed. Your attitude is just making things worse. 2) His assertion that he isn't allowed to get emotional with this whole "I'm not a robot" comment? Someone please point me to an instance where YanDev was told he wasn't allowed to have feelings? That's more victim-framing crap thats specifically set-up to make others feel bad for him, though whether he realizes that or not is a seperate issue. 3) "I didn't even do anything all that bad" Ok, so you admit you did do some bad? I'm sorry kiddo, but you've done a lot of shitty things, not just as YanDev, but EvaXephon too. I don't think I need to list those here as people can find plenty with a quick google search. Saying you didn't do anything all that bad is just BS. We've all done bad shit, no matter who you are. You don't get to claim that just to make shit disappear. The difference between someone like you and some else doing something bad, is that you chose to put yourself in higher esteem than someone who isn't developing a game and has a large following. I'm not diminishing the shit you've done by any means, but if you expect us to respect you and hold you in high esteem, then, to quote my eighth grade teacher, "You need to act in a way that is deserving of that respect." 4) I'm clumping the last few together because they all build on this separate idea that he feels like he wants to die. Alright Alex, here's the thing. See, people aren't just going to forget all the shit you've done just because you say you feel like you want to die. That's some class A manipulation tactics right there. You can't tell fans to kill themselves, steal art from volunteers, spend Patreon money on personal purchases and write rape fics and then expect sympathy from anyone. There's a line that you've most definitely crossed a long time ago, even with just what I've listed there. Don't get me wrong, I 100% don't wish death upon you, because that's really fucked, but I think you need to either 1, take some time off and rethink you're life goals, 2, apologize for the shit you've done and try to be better. Even if you think you haven't done any of the shit that people are accusing you of, apologize anyways and make sure you never do any of it again, or 3, turn over YanSim to somebody else. At this point, your reputation is mud. And that's not because of gremlins, or trolls, or haters or whatever monster of the week name you decide to give them. That's because people look at the things you've done, and the way you handle accusations and say "That's really messed up, he should apologize and be held accountable" and you respond by blowing up like Chernobyl and holding a gun to your head. If you keep going the way you are, you might one day find yourself in a situation where nobody tries to talk you off that ledge. You act like the boy who cried wolf, every time anyone criticizes you, so of course more people are going to believe the criticism! Especially when your response boils down to "It wasn't me" and "They're lying because they're jealous/vengeful/bored/they just don't like me and want to see me fail." I've been around for a while Alex, I used to be such a huge fan of you. I can definitively say that I'm not any longer, and its more because of your response to accusations than the accusations themselves! (Though those are extremely fucked up.) And dude, you gotta stop replying to every message you get. I understand looking for volunteers or whatever, but here's a concept: If someone says something mean about you in DMs or whatever, don't respond to it. Just ignore it and move on! That's basic internet etiquette! If you don't respond then people don't have more ammo. Shit can always get worse and you're just making it worse by responding! At the end of the day, APOLOGIZE! MAKE THE CHANGE! Dont expect everything to go back to normal, but it'll save whatever of your rep is left.

I'm not even sure if this counts as a-logging, to be honest. It's more like people who got suckered in, realized they'd be suckered in, and decided to cut bait and GTFO. Admittedly they're ranting about it on fucking Reddit, which is not an ideal way to avoid a descent into batshit insane a-loggery.

A little bit late to the party, but here's a little interesting tidbit.

You've probably already seen a screenshot of Alex going "mmm yes samus kiss kiss kiss" numerous times by now, alongside a picture of his character making out with Samus. Well, the creator of said MMD model, Lumialle, noticed it, and isn't really happy about it.

Here's the model in question.
YANDEREDEV USED MY WORK AND DIDN'T CREDIT
Imagine my shock.

Lumialle is not more autistic than YanDev but god damn if he isn't trying.

I'm surprised it took this many replies until someone pointed this out. It was just a joke oops, I didn't think so many people would fall for it
There are enough newfags and A-logs all below the age of 16 both in this thread and elsewhere who would willingly believe and take that bait and spread it around on Reddit and Twitter just to feel better about themselves than Alex.
