Chauvin being cleared of all wrongdoing, I disagree. I believe the story that they've known each other prior to that altercation, and the cop was trying to get some petty revenge with his power as a police officer. Maybe not necessarily because of race, but there was some foul play and bad blood between them. He shouldn't be a cop ever again. A negligence charge would be a good idea. Maybe even third degree.

What bothers me is the supposed backstory between the two. Chauvin is 44. He's been a cop since 2001, so he joined when he was 25. How long did he work as a bouncer with floyd again?

According to the former owner of El Nuevo Rodeo, a Latin nightclub, Floyd and Chauvin had worked overlapping shifts as security guards at the club; Chauvin for 17 years and Floyd at about a dozen events.

So did he moonlight as a bouncer at night while working as a cop during the day for almost his entire career ? Is that something that people do? Also, a dozen events? If there's 4 cops, how couldn't 2 restrain the guy and 2 control the crowd? Remember they should have some experience in restrain people (even the most basic), the cop how did the knee has in command( or just was the most experienced there, I don't remember).
