Quinton is right about one thing: you can do so much with $900. Pay rent, invest, go on a short break somewhere domestic, upgrade your equiptment. One of the first things most people should learn in adulthood is how to differentiate betwene need and want, and how to save money.

For $900 he could probably buy a cheap used street legal motor scooter and get a license for it so he doesn't have to ask his parents to drive him places. Imagine the difference that would genuinely make to his quality of life. Certainly it'd be more of an improvement than owning a giant Garfield plush.

Hell, he could have the scooter and the Garf for $900.

Because I was curious enough to look into this whole debacle some more, here's somewhat of an overview (including updates, I guess?) to Quinton's lovequest situation:

1. For starters, this is the giant Garfield plush that Quinton's trying to get his hands on. Apparently they're the largest to ever exist, and there are only 7 of them in the world, all of which GarfieldEats (currently) owns:

2. Quinton initially begins to blame the GarfieldEats people for having fucked up:

3. He then tries to dub this logistics fuckup as "#SandGate", as if it's some kind of scandal or con-job intentionally being pulled on him. Also, just like @admiral and @inexplicable ethos have brought up, this whole thing could make for a decent video or gag, which at least one of his fans suggested. Quinton though seems reluctant to do it because the 60lb. bag of sand is just too heavy to move around:

3.5. He has no choice but to to take pictures of the bag of sand to send to UPS, which of course requires moving it around. The bag keeps leaking every time he tries moving it, lmao:

4. Then there's the previously mentioned posts from earlier in this thread about him trying to sort this out with UPS and GarfieldEats:
Apparently he tried to order a giant garfield plush but was accidentally sent a package of sandbox sand. Which, okay, that's at least slightly funny

He has a lot of different tweets about this event, just go check his twitter if you want to see them all

5. He eventually comes to the conclusion that GarfieldEats is (most likely) not responsible for the fuckup, and it is instead UPS's fault. He then asks his followers to not be so mean to Nathan, the guy he's been talking to from GarfieldEats. Though I guess he's still going to keep that post up from point 2 about them ripping him off...

6. And now I guess he wants people to go bully UPS. What an upstanding guy:

7. It looks like Quinton changed his mind about making a video, as he managed to come up with a terrible title for it (my guess is that the video won't be out for some time until he receives the plush):

8. Surprisingly, Nathan from GarfieldEats managed to get UPS to not only accept fault, but also be willing to ship the plush without the insane $900 fee. Guess things are looking up for Quinton after all:

9. But of course, because this is Quinton we're talking about, he has to complain about how an internet friend(?) of his is more popular than him for making a simple joke about the whole situation:

9.5. I'm probably very late and out-of-the-loop on this, but this is the first I've heard of Quinton being a furry:

I never understood this guy's obsession with Garfield and I still don't. I also don't understand how you can make so much content out of Garfield with people willing to actually watch it. Was I just born at the wrong time to understand this? Or is this what happens when you're autistic and have no life direction?

from what I can tell it's a case of hyper ironization. Aka it started just as an ironic joke but has spiraled to the point where there is some twisted form of sincerity

My biggest question is why ride or die Garfield when he's one of the most capitalized characters? 🤔

I hate these zoomers saying "down with capitalism" but buy everything under the sun.

Jesus Christ Quinton, you just had to ruin the joke for pity points didn't you. He even has to say "I asked him to" just to try and claim the joke was his because he is such an insecure little pissbaby.

The fact that he had to ask at all for one of only people left with any sort of following online who he has a somewhat friendly relationship with is just pathetic in and of itself.

Those tweets are so manipulative. "Well I really shouldn't pay $900 for literal useless garf tat with my patreon bucs, unless you all tell me its a good idea." Bitch you're a grown man, make your own decisions. That line about 'and there are so many bad things in the world more deserving of money' is horseshit. He just wants people to give him an excuse to waste money without the moral dilema of making the decision himself. What a faggot.

Judging from his wall of useless Garfield and Bumblebee toys, Quinton has poor impulse control and wants that giant Garfield plush at any cost.....but he also knows that people shit on him for throwing away thousands on a fucking sex doll.

Therefore he's putting the onus upon his fans, so if detractors call him out for wasting $1000 on a stuffed animal, Quinty can say, "BUT MY AUDIENCE DEMANDED IT!!!!!" What a slimy move.
