Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but this feels like an attack against "internet analysis" youtubers. Makes me think he's gearing up to a video about how they're problematic.

he's bitching about deadwing dork. Where Knudsen may use us, a lot of claws earlier streams were effectively thread reviews and he references our site quite a bit. Not to mention he did a stream shitting on quintons vidcon so don't be surprised if there is a slap fight in the near future.

I think a Mumkey-esque incident was inevitable with Quinton. It could have been with another channel, but either way, this was the most likely incident that ensured got a thread. It highlights his worst qualities - trying to act like he's above drama while engaging in it, taking delight in others' misfortune, and exposing himself as the coward he is when drama he started blows up in his face. The other content warrants a thread too, but I find the Mumkey fiasco to be the guarantee he received one.

He was doomed the moment he stopped his review of a youtube movie to make a statement on trump. It's not even the politics that showed he had always been a cow. It was out of place, showed his ego, his inability to understand who his audience was, and he proceeded to double then tripple down on it.

The Trump statement preceded the Mumkey drama by over a month. It wasn't the moment that got him noticed because he at least tried to tie his Trump comments back to his review. With the Mumkey drama, there's no defending it. Not just because Quinton was taking pleasure at someone else's expense, but because he didn't think there would be any repercussions for what he posted.

I don't disagree the Mumkey fiasco got him to be an official cow, it was just the Thining review showed the only thing separating him from being a cow was time and the right subject matter for him to step on. He started to lump his fans in with alt right trolls. I'm convinced it's the reason why he is okay with ditching his fan base and partially why he wants to be part of bread tube so bad to prove that he doesn't apeal to the wrong people.

Basically, the Trump comments were a warning sign, but that wasn't the first time he got into someone's target range. Before the Thining 2 video, he had his slapfight with MauLer and became MauLer's enemy for life. But that was over Star Wars sperging, so no one else gave a shit.

The Trump comments also show his gradual decline to the point of no return. Since he at least tried to explain why he was complaining about Trump in his review, the video has 27K likes against 5.4K dislikes. He could have avoided future pratfalls. Instead, he made a crack against JonTron in his following video, which was uncalled for and he received more backlash because of it - that one has 11K dislikes to the 26K likes. And then the Mumkey fiasco happened. For Quinton, 2018 is the story of how he flew too close to the sun.

To be honest I think the saddest part is that a better YouTuber would have made max one (and preferably zero) tweets about this and instead made a quick joke video about the situation and the absurdity of it. Mumkey Jones and Rusty Cage, both at least debatably contemporaries of Quinton although certainly ones he hates, have created videos in a similar vein that did well. It could've been mildly entertaining and more importantly for Quinton, monetizeable. Instead though he spergs out on Twitter about it because scripting (even partially) and recording a video is too much effort for him apparently. Isn't YouTube his full time job? Being able to turn a stupid situation into an entertaining video should be like, at the top of his mind. Clearly he has fucking nothing else to do.

As always, Quinton completely misses a great oppourtunity for a video. The sand thing is funny, a lighthearted video about the sand would be funny, and it might have made him enough money to cover the stupid UPS drama (bureaucracy and shipping companies are hellish, I'll give him that). Instead he just bitches about it because he's incapable of taking a step back from a situation and looking at it objectively.

This is the perfect example of Quinton actually having something that can be presented as real comedy, and fucks it up by being himself.

The people who sent it said it’s UPS’s fault, and UPS is now asking for an insane $900 fee. At that point, any sane person would simply ask for their money back, yet Quinton has to ask his fans if it’s worth it to use their money to let a company fuck him over further.
