Yes. Recall he desperately wanted to be a TGWTG hanger-on. At best he'd be on par with those guys at Manic Expression, At worse he likely would have morphed into a Mr Enter type. I don't see a timeline where he ended up a normal guy.

Since he was apolitical, or at least never had politics interfer in his work previous to his obsession breadtube, I feel he would have mostly kept on trucking as he was before. Since he reviewed the table scraps that other people wouldn't be bothered to touch I think he would have stayed C-list at best as Ascendancy said above.

Then again, if he was still funny Fallen Titans had a chance to be a respected series and he could have occupied a simmilar space to (Ironically) Beige Frequency and actually rose above that, being a sub-Knudson but decently respected quazi-documentarian. But I can't tell how much of his painful unfunniness is due to Caleb leaving and how much is to his breadtube coattail chasing.

But yeah, call me crazy but he had a decent chance not only to not be super pathetic, but actually have a respectable youtube career IMO.

quinton has too many severe confidence issues for his youtube career to have ever panned out well. he's clingy as fuck and needs constant validation and clearly has trouble believing that any of his friends are actually has friends if they're not constantly sucking him off. if not breadtube he would have found another youtube clique to parasitically attach himself to (probably with the same level of success because as said, his issues are present no matter who he's associated with).

I think Quinton (at first) liked Garfield ironically. However, being a leftist, he isn't allowed to express hate for anything that isn't an approved target, so he had no choice but to start unironically liking it.

Lasanga cat, gorefield, and a few other parodies gave Garfield a new life online. Most are designed to either deconstruct the source material or stray as far as possible while keeping some basic components; oddie, john, garfield, lasagna, mondays, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if the left latched onto that aspect of garfield and see it as a way to claim an icon from the boomers.

I just wanted to add that garfield is kind of the icon of the over commercialized IP's with people being able to find a garfield variant of pretty much everything. Admittedly he's been outdone by disney who will put IP's on lettuce but back in the day garfield was the #1 "why the hell would anyone buy a X branded item" IP. I left it out because there is a consoomer joke in there but I'm not witty enough to pull it out.

If Quinton didn't make fun of Mumkey's channel being suspended, he would have never been noticed. The guy is so ingenious and boring in what he does, it's hard to care about him. But laughing at another YouTuber's misfortune and then exposing himself as a total pussy opened the floodgates. His ED article had a section discussing how he was able to get away with his faggotry for so long, but the short answer is the Mumkey fiasco was the first time he did something interesting.

I think a Mumkey-esque incident was inevitable with Quinton. It could have been with another channel, but either way, this was the most likely incident that ensured got a thread. It highlights his worst qualities - trying to act like he's above drama while engaging in it, taking delight in others' misfortune, and exposing himself as the coward he is when drama he started blows up in his face. The other content warrants a thread too, but I find the Mumkey fiasco to be the guarantee he received one.
