I think showing game developments is better but even then it could still be a quick cash grab with no progress or what so ever afterwords.
At this point it shouldnt have been a concept in the first place.

I personally feel that you should only show game development footage to the public if some monumental progress has been made. However, utilizing this criteria to judge YanSim is quite difficult given that the damn game is stuck in a state of development hell and every little thing that Alex reveals to his fans is significant in some way (because, yet again, Alex puts in the minimal amount of effort to code his game so he can soak up the most praise from his fans for doing absolutely nothing).

But none of those games were good. Disco Elysium is a visual novel that lectures you if you pick the wrong politics, Life is Strange had some of the most unlikeable characters since DmC, and Undertale is overrated memebait but not SJW itself. SJWs are incapable of true creativity because it requires them to think outside of themselves and those who share their opinion. They HAVE to make everything obnoxiously political because everything must be a mirror that reflects positively on them. Lovesick will be no different. It's infested with literal children and crazy people. I'm calling it now they'll be a big pedo scandal on that discord in a year, maximum. It does all of this because it's a story told entirely through the inner monologue of a self-loathing drug addict. If you can't pick up on this, you're a moron.
EDIT: The fact that the game lets you become a race realist and immediately go around yelling racial epithets at every minority you see without punishing you for it any more than it punishes you for everything else is already proof it's not SJW.

the thing is, they wouldn't get volunteers if they don't mention it/brag about it, so i kinda get why they always announce the games early on.

imo the only way a yansim clone could work is for the dev to block alex from the get go after announcing it, replace everything so alex wouldn't have anything to complain about, distance themselves from alex's fanbase AND anti-fanbase and for the dev to only limit their interactions with the volunteers and their co-devs. no drama. no bullshit.
