That's probably why CinematicVenom deleted the tweet. The amount of fan videos depicting MauLer killing other content creators says all you need to know about his community.

I swear this is the same thing EFAP fans say every time EFAP gets called out for their shitty behavior "oh they were just joking around and having fun!" while insulting people over their appearance.

It's almost like he's talking about the EFAP community. No self-awareness whatsoever.

Throwing my two cents into the pot:

1) I don't mind the length of Mauler's videos. I like how he pulls apart every single strand and overanalyzes it. I find it gets to the base of the why this particular thing is so good/bad.
2) I can't stand EFAP. It's intolerably boring and so much of it is meandering nonsense without building to a final point. It's basically a livestream of a conversation for people that have no friends themselves and want to simulate what that's like.

Finished the TFA video. It ends on 20 minutes of EFAP and fanart """content""", because it wasn't bloated as it was already. If you'd had to review this review by MauLer's "objective standards" it would have failed badly. It is certainly one of the worst attempts at review I've ever seen.
I'll add to my last comment that the review can be also described as "spaghetti review" - there is no real direction, it just randomly goes on tangents, and each tangent is guaranteed to be at least 10 minutes on average.
The various tangents can be summarized as:
1. MauLer talking about TLJ (the most common one that doesn't make sense and just shows MauLer forces himself to act like he hates TFA, or has no belief in his own arguments).
2. MauLer saying old and boring criticisicm you've likely heard a billion times.
3. MauLer randomly inserts an EFAP section where they dogpile on a guy you don't know with a fraction of an argument inserted for maximum "objectivity points".
4. MauLer talking about how he would have written the script, usually by fixes that are shit and would not have changed the final product in any noticable way other than fixing some plot point.
You can't even make a fun drinking game out of it unless you drink whenever MauLer talked over 5 minutes over the same subject, which would just mean drinking every five minutes.

He wants it to be the be-all end-all review of that movie. Completely beyond reproach or debate. "Objective", if you will. Its what Mauler sees himself as: a reviewer that produces reviews that cannot be one-upped by future reviewers. He wants to be the standard to which other reviewers hold themselves. They already do, in his community, and he doesn't accept them if they don't do so implicitly.

Yeah, this was discussed upthread. I think he's "trans questioning" at the moment. Poor old EFAP Wiki doesn't know whether it's coming or going with the pronouns:



He's an odd-looking chap, so if he does go all in with feminisation, it'll be... interesting to see.

Jay's about the only EFAP alumnus I can stand because he doesn't come across as hideously self-important and I have genuinely enjoyed his solo videos. I did lose a bit of respect for him when I found out he was essentially bullied into being part of EFAP. This image just highlights how cult-like the whole circus is:

Jay has always struck me as being like the High School freshman who gets adopted by a bunch of seniors who ruin his life, but he doesn't notice because senpai noticed him. I'd bet in another year or two they're going to have a nasty split, and Jay is going to feel like an idiot for going along with them.

When Jay was originally covered on EFAP, he unlisted his video on MauLer out of courtesy. Wolf proceeded to make fun of him for it on Twitter.

I unfortunately wasn't able to save the original tweet before Wolf's account was suspended, but I rescued the follow-up because in an hilarious double standard, MauLer did the same thing by unlisting his response to IHE. Except whereas Jay's video was originally public and was unlisted to curb drama, MauLer's video was unlisted from the start.

Can a video be over-edited? Because this strikes me as over-edited. No wonder things get stuck in the pipeline (even if most people are not actually watching, just listening).

As for Jay, the only reedemable thing he has is that he's one of the few that goes against the hivemind, fostering a little discussion, even if he ends up being clowned in the end.
In his solo content / twitter he comes across as super smug but really dumb and unfunny.
He also strikes me as someone who can be pushed into anything, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up trooning out (and I wonder if Taxxon is the one doing it)
