I could be wrong, but I believe that the ideal situation is that the body cam video isn't released tot he public until after it's been used as evidence -- especially if there's a chance that showing it during an investigation that could lead to a trial might lead to concerns over the impartiality of a jury that has seen the footage and formed any sort of opinion, conscious or subconscious, as a result.
There's always exceptions to the general rule, but the rights to fair trial and a presumption of innocence are still tantamount in our legal system.
One would think they'd wait until after the criminal case was adjudicated because a criminal conviction would result in a slam-dunk win in the civil case. While one can still receive a favorable civil judgement without criminal conviction, it just means more work is involved to reach the preponderance of evidence threshold.

All those commenters not following the plan of "Defund the Police" are White supermacists. They should KNOW that all police are bad because of a few isolated incidents. If only illegals and Latinos were more willing to assimilate into US culture and history, there would be almost no qualms with them from a lot of people. Or at least from me, an Hispanic who did embrace American values and culture.

I don't know why some of you are so convinced it's not really feds arresting people.
Don't forget Antifa is now a domestic terror organization. FBI/ATF/Homeland probably got some secret FISA warrants and are tracking known antifa morons by their cell phones, which they all carry because they constantly post on social media. They are driving around in mini vans under the radar and scooping them up.
Their demeanor is too professional for it to be some weird antifa black flag op. They get out, go straight to the target, capture, and exfil. Not to mention they look like actual men, not soyboys.

I just noticed that in a lot of places welfare payments can NOT be garnished for restitution for civil or criminal judgments. That means the hoodlum who keeps getting arrested has literally nothing to lose by breaking the law. I bet if you start freezing EBT cards for non-payment of fines and court costs, a lot of this bullshit will disappear pretty fucking quick.

Far as I remember the republicans were the law and order party. Most of their shenanigans are done through police and military.
If I recall antifa are democratic, the klan was democratic, the mafia leaned democratic. It seems the democrats have a long history using unreputable organizations to enforce their will.
One article I read was the black panther party during 60s and 70s were wiping out black gangs. I have a theory the blacks gangs made a deal with whte racists of the time to counter the black panthers. If this is true it wouldn't surprise black gangs are used as muscle to keep the black community in line.
