I think it’s as simple as “if you think you’re a woman, you’re transsexual. If not, you’re a transvestite.” But Zach is neither, he’s a gay AGP.

Trasvestite or cross-dresser have always existed since I remember (and I was born in late 70s). Cross dresser was like a more elegant way of saying trasvestite here.

The one I also remember is "transexual", people who got their surgery and took hormones or any procedure to look more like the opposite sex.

Funny how we never had any real problem with these people. Sure, some people were completely shit for no reason besides being awful, but people didn't really mind. It's only when "transgenders" arrived that everything became so autistic.

About 20 years ago, Zach would be considered a crossdresser, not a transexual. He has no surgeries, he only wants to pretend he's a woman. And most people would have said "don't make fun of him, he can dress as he wants, who cares" and leave it at that. But then, he wouldn't have demanded to be treated like a REAL woman.
