It's a common misconception that when you're placed under arrest, you have to be read your rights otherwise it totally doesn't count because the Miranda Rights are a magic spell or some dogshit, I don't know. That's genuinely not what they are and it's not some kind of dumb ritual, I have no idea where that comes from other than people watching too many movies.
The Miranda Rights only apply in situations where the police would be required to detain you for questioning. If the cops see you smashing bricks through windows, lighting cars on fire, and running up and down the streets in riot gear, they don't have any questions for you. You will not be read your rights. These people watch too many movies.
Correct. If you are arrested and start shouting "I killed Epstein! Prince Andrew paid me through Hilary Clinton to do it!", that statement is inadmissible in court until you are mirandized. That doesn't stop them from arresting you for the crime.
