The Twitch DMCA Saga (Three Times Resilient!)

Just a quick reminder that for all the pigroach luck and cockroach invincibility and DSP has nothing to show for it in his life.

What did he win here? He gets to keep begging people for money and play video games that he despises. Yay!

Doubt is one hell of a drug.

He had a realization he should have had 12 years ago, and when every sponsor, company, and platform dropped him: he has no job security. Most self employed people and contract workers go in knowing this and plan accordingly, be it by stashing money away for the lulls in employable work, making friends in the right places, or flat out having a job with security while doing their own thing.

No, you missed the best part of yesterday.

DSP talked about how he was a streamer with his own small business because it gave him the MOST job security as he was literally checking his email every 2 minutes because he was still banned from Twitch at the time.

So he DIDN'T learn any sort of lesson.

Even if nothing DOES happen, that doesn't change the precarious position he's in, nor the fact that he's in it forever. He cannot escape at this point. He got a taste of that, and instead of being tactful, he did the Phil thing and came unglued.

That is absolutely a form of "fucked", and one that none of us would ever wish to be in.

He said he had job security while he was, albeit temporarily, fired by his employer?
I missed thst one.

What's funny is he's actually just the same level of fucked he's always been. This could have happened at any time in the past several years. His "job" is the least stable industry of all time.

YTCutter isn't working for me lately, so this is from the DSPGaming.

Skip to 1:20:47 if it doesn't do it automatically.

Some troll says to "get a real job." Yes because as you know, the job that I've now done for nine plus years as my full time job, the job that's paid me more than anything else, and a job that at this point actually had more job security than any job I could have had during the pandemic somehow isn't a real job. Ok genius. :throat clear:

Remember, his Twitch account is still down at the time he says this. :story:

This actually is the best Phil content, because he just completely flies off the handle and says shit like HE'S the one who is going to drop Twitch in 24 hours if they don't get back to him...on a Friday after working hours. He has massive egg on his face because pigroach luck pulled through again.

That, and his WWE Champions profile is fuuuuuuuuuucked.

Simply being precariously balanced on a pinhead is Phil's life and he just realized it, as people mentioned. Naturally, the bastard won't do a thing about it like save money instead of spending it on images sweaty men in shorts where he just presses two buttons over and over, but that's why we're here isn't it? To laugh at this failure of a man who probably would lose his house should something even pigroach luck can't bail him out of, like maybe some kind of industrial-grade accident where making his dumbass sauce blows up a pot in his face and blinds him for the rest of his life.

DSP channeling his inner-Karen is my favorite DSP form.
Remember he got dropped from his MCN after threatening to walk? 😂

I'm not going to quote-spam the whole argument: I'll just @Null:

What's to stop the malicious drive-by copyright abusers from just pretending they have a lawyer, or using a fake/mismatched copyright filing number, or even filing a frivilous copyright just to troll/extort? We already know people are fully willing to "perjure" themselves with fake names and addresses. (Heavy quotes, because you never hear of anyone getting punished for false DMCA claims/counter-claims.)

I'm not saying your idea is bad, but it might be more effective to make a new tort that is easy to file (something something fraud something something free speech). And yes, DMCA should not be a cudgel for non-US entities to silence US citizens.

What I'm imagining is a reverse-anti-slapp kind of dealio, I suppose. Thoughts?

One thing one could take away from yesterday was the fact that for the first time Phil was completely helpless. Take away the tough talk and grand standing and I see a helpless child begging for help. I also saw someone who boxed themselves in to the point that if Twitch is taken away, we get alot of messy hot takes, useless complaining and someone willing to shoot themself in the foot to make a point.

I wish he'd gotten DMCA slapped again only because I really wanted to see what he would do ginned up and already shouting about leaving.

Oh well.

My laugh for today is Phil's threat of leaving Twitch if this DMCA shit happens again. Not because they literally ban him, but because "he has to".
So once again it will be someone else's fault (Twitch) if he willingly and freely leaves the website, presses "delete" on his channel and annihilate all subscriptions (money!!!) and turn to another website he really don't want to stream on.

This is really not how this works Philroach. Oh he's so incredibly unprofessional and stupid, it's funny. He's legally in the right, has the King's throne with all the treasures and gold under his ass, but is ready to squeal out and flee to the forests because a peasant threw a tomato to his head, making him look like a clown instead of a king for a brief second.

That's the salt and sugar I'm here for.

DSP has as much credibility as the little usb fan on my desk. His words are empty. He will never leave twitch on his own. He will stay there until Twitch bans him forever.

This whole threatening twitch to leave is just a bluff. He just plays the mature adult as usual. He would never do that.

Well, if we have to believe superhound, Phil should be getting hit by the ultimate retaliation pretty soon. Obviously don’t know if it’s legit or just an empty threat to get people to click on his link to IP-log more random people.
